The top story out of the metroplex this morning: Authorities were looking for a 21-year-old man early Friday in connection with an attack on his grandparents in their home south of Celina.
The Collin County Sheriff’s Department was called about 4:30 a.m. for what originally was reported as a stabbing. When deputies arrived at the home on County Road 90, they found the elderly victims had been struck “an unknown number of times with a wooden dowel,” Lt. John Norton said.
Fred Green, 74, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital of Plano with what Lt. Norton said were described as superficial wounds. Willie Green, 78, was flown by air ambulance to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas with more serious injuries. Her condition was not immediately known, Lt. Norton said.
Uh, a wooden dowel? And the kid kinda reminds me of Christian Slater.

Good grief...(he does look like Slater, btw). I've never been able to understand how anyone could hurt an elderly person. Hurting his own grandparents makes him an animal.

This kids grandparent's were probably due a good a$$-whipping! I am sure G-maw probably forgot the green bean casserole again during the holidays; the kid was just reminding her ahead of time for this year!
Ok, I've felt like doing that to some of the old bitties shopping at wal-mart but to do that to your own grand parents takes a real special kind of family.
The news said he has numerous "run-ins" with the law, most of which are assaultive offenses. To think, his grandparents probably took him in to try to "help him out". He deserves to be homeless (unless you can call jail "home", which I guess he better get used to when he's caught).
C4u that's right. How could anyone hurt an elderly person? Especially, your grandparents who love you no matter what.
