that is a good name for that damn camra. Is that the A-team van that is parked next to it?
What galls me is the way they handle tickets if the registered owner wasn't the one driving.
The owner either has to rat out the driver -- or pay the ticket even though he's not guilty.
Can they legally do that? Can they make a spouse identify his or her spouse?
And how can they fine somebody who wasn't the guilty person?
I know they can do it on red-light infractions, but this is a genuine speeding ticket.
What ever happened to the redneck who said: "BY GAWD I'll shoot that somebitch with a deer rifle"?
In the mean time,why don't we just put a mailbox over it and it won't be long til a truck load of teenagers bashes it to smithereens with a baseball bat.

That camera is out there EVERY weekday morning. I work in Grapevine and live in Decatur. Thus, I get to see it Monday thru Friday. I do not know about Saturday & Sunday.
On my return trip, it's out there about 50% of the time.

It is out there EVERY morning M-F. I drive from Decatur to Grapevine every day and that van and/or just the equipment is out.

Is there anyone that reads this blog that can rationally explain why they should have the right to speed whenever and wherever they want? What other laws should we do away with because a group of people want the freedom to engage in an activity that is currently illegal (and, like speeding, can hurt someone innocent) There is a way to make the cameras disappear. All you have to do is obey the law.

Speeding and invasion of privacy are 2 different things! Cops on the beat deter speeding, not cameras. Cameras didnt stop terrorists on 9/11 at Boston and Dulles.

I am very curious to see how they will go about doing that. My guess is that they are just going after the "low hanging fruit" (i.e., people who will just plead guilty and pay the fine).

Alas I am geographically challenged since I have no clue where Boyd and Keeter are. However, the idea of using shake and bake on cheerleaders is not very appealing. Is Rhome still running the regular police force? Everytime I drive by that police department I wonder if they are ever at force. There are too many police cars just sitting there. It seems like they never move! How many officers does Rhome have anyway? Do they need all those cars?
for anon 8:05 if you will pay attention several of those care belong to other agencies, wise county does not let there cares leave the county so the deputies who live out side the county park their cars there and also there is one from ft worth parked there alot, as for officers rhome has 7 full time officers and some reserves
