The Machinery Of Death

Tonight Texas executed, for the first time, a black woman. It was only the third woman ever killed by the government in our state (at least through the criminal judicial process).

I know it must be horrible for the families of the people who are executed, just as would be to know that they killed your grandkids.

The facts are three other people are also dead. She took out insurance policies on her kids before they were killed (her estranged husband already had one). She tried to cash in on these insurance policies to support her drug habit.

Assuming the verdict was correct, she took the life’s of three other people including her 21-month-old baby and seven year old son. She already had a prior conviction for forgery and theft. She appears to be a bad person that had her chance. I'm sorry for her parents and that's it.

What goes around comes around is what I think. SO if she killed a person than she gets killed.

lets do away with the chair and get a couch.then we could do 2-3 at a time!

Love that "couch" idea. If we'd just weed out the bad apples, the rest of us in the barrel would be in better shape.

The only problem with the Death Penalty is that most stay on death row to long. The tax payers are having to support these killers for 10 - 15 years before they get executed.

Come on guys, lets move it along already!!

I think the death penalty is unfortunate but necessary. I would personally rather feed a hungry innocent child than feed someone on death row that has killed several people.

Great couch idea. An eye for an eye!

Looks like we can all agree on something. We just need and express lane. Maybe if we offered cash incentives to be paid half to the victim’s family and half to their own family we could get more people that want to move to the front of the line.

I am loving the express lane idea! Can we get that to Austin before Perry leaves office??

It took 18 years for her to meet her fate! 18 years! Babies have been born, attorneys have been made (sorry Barry), what the h### took so long to administer justice? I think it's deplorable all the rights that the criminals have. I'm sick to death of all the lawyer games (sorry again Barry) these convicts lawyers play to keep these people from their fate. Enough! Ok, I feel better now:)

Hey Barry, how about starting a Lawyer Joke Comment. We could have a lot of fun with that one.
