It's the anniversary of an attack on a ref by two players from San Antonio Jay High School.  An assistant coach, Mack Breed resigned and admitted ordering the attack, but he quickly retracted it. He would eventually plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense. The players didn't face criminal charges.  Video from game.

• Trump and the White House casually announced by meme that troops are going to invade Chicago, not for the purpose of "fighting crime", but  to enforce immigration laws.  This would have caused the impeachment and removal of a president back when we were a sane country. • From the New York Times of  Friday: A wild story of how Trump ordered a SEAL raid into North Korea in 2019 to plant a listening device.
