Random Monday Morning Thoughts

At least we have access to the old story now.

  • It looks like one of the State's witnesses turned on the prosecution mid-testimony.  That is not a good sign.

  • Dateline Del Rio

  • The vote was 9-5 on Friday. If only they would try to keep AR-15s out of schools with the same gusto they use to put Bibles in it.

  • If I had 10 jurors tell me they were voting "not guilty", I don't think I'd be re-trying the guy.

  • That sure was a lot of prosecutors mugging for the camera after a plea hearing.

  • The problem with the "Memorandum of Understanding" is that no one apparently understood it.

  • Ken Paxton and his paramour caught in the wild. Video.

  • Weekend Trump craziness:
    • Story.

    • Can he go just one weekend without embarrassing the United States?

    • Nothing feels more like democracy on the 4th of July than troops guarding water.

    • Not only does he lie about his poll numbers, he doesn't even know what "despite" means.

  • The Business Second™. That's a ton of homes (but I'd call it more of a Denton development than a north Fort Worth development.)

  • The Mabank fire chief was killed after being hit by vehicle while directing traffic outside of the Mabank Rodeo over the weekend.
