Yep... Not a good start. If it makes you feel any better, the story could have started out:
"I went to pick up a friend yesterday. After a little bit we go out and get into my car. As I start up the engine there's this horrible sound."...
And ended with:..."30 minutes later as I popped the hood at the car wash (spray wand in hand) I couldn't help but wonder 3 things.
#1. How many other guys have had dates ruined before they started because of things like this.
