Shut up Berry! Give him a break. He probably would be tired after how good he as been getting this hurricane strait. Have you looked at all the things he has gotten us through since his first run??
Wizard, you wouldn't be happy with anything he does, so give us a break. (I sure am glad we're looking at him instead of John Kerry). I'm sure you think Kerry would have had a "perfect" plan for such a disaster.
It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks someone else would/could/should have done. The bottom line is, this guy dropped the ball from the fly-over leaving the ranch to the "National Day of Prayer" two weeks and some-odd days after the fact. And if it weren't for the polls, he would not have done what he did at this point. The guy is clueless, is handled by people who appear to be tiring of the job, and in the process is politically and financially ruining any gaines that have been made. Even his tone in the recent speech to the U.N. is affirmation the this leadership team has screwed up and now they are back peddling and still unable to admit that both over-all international and domestic policy has been ill-conceived and poorly implemented, at the cost of 100'sK lives both here and abroad. So, anon 7:51, pull your head out of your ass, come out from under the flag, and see what's really happening in the world. Or are you one of the filthy rich who knows a gravy train when you see it and dreads the end of the line?
I am a Republican and I can't stand watching that stuff either. Sheesh lets just break out Economics Textbooks or Army Field Manuals and try to get thru them too. Watching that stuff is right up there with watching bread rise.
Tell me wizard why is it the pres fault? I was watching CNBC today they said that N.O. does not like the Gov telling them what to do? and that they will have a problem if the Gov comes in and runs everything? I still blame the local Gov, state, for not being ready for this they had a plan! but the mayor told the people that they were on their own getting out of town! explain that one? when they knew before hand that had 130,000 people that had no way out! but it is easy for you liberals to always blame the Gov! get a life lizard.
Wizard:The Iraq war cost hundreds of thousands of lives? I guess I missed those reports.
Barry: maybe you should work a crossword. Conservatives have to when Biden & Kennedy start talking.
And concerning the death toll in N. O., What happened to the LSU expert who predicted 70,000 (or more deaths? To me for a city of 1.2 million (in the area) to be hit by such a storm and only lose 200 people is pretty amazing. Especially given the incompetence of the N. O. evacuation effort and the indecision of Gov. Blanco.
Anon 9:41: I lay it at the Pres. feet because 1) he put the team together in charge, 2) all of the Admin. talking heads publicly say he calls the shots, 3) he is the guy who took the initial photo. op. and publicly bragged on the job the former FEMA head was doing (sorry, I 've already forgotten his name), and 4)he stood in front of the camera 2? days ago and said he was the one that screwed up.
Anon 10:09: If you want to callenge me on what I say, that's fine. Just have enough courtesy to challenge me in what I SAY!!!!, not on what you THINK I SAY!!! I never mentioned Iraq, i said "...both over-all international and domestic policy has been ill-conceived and poorly implemented, at the cost of 100'sK lives both here and abroad." Count military and civilian lives from all sources both here and abroad, i.e Afghanastan, Iraq, etc. and natural disasters due to inadequate/incomplete planning and implementation of all operations initiated by this adminitsration; my numbers are not far off.
Wizard or Whizzer: Your numbers still don't make any sense. I bet you can't come close to supporting them. Hundreds of thousands? You couldn't come up with that many if you added tornadoes and traffic accidents (which you and socialists like Ralph Nader would blame on the federal government)
I challenge you on both what you said and what you implied although both are a little hard to determine given your writing style.

I get tired head just looking at him. Wonder if Condi is nearby in case he needs a "break"?

For once the President actually looks relaxed.
No smirk!.......
Nice for a change!

I'm with you on this one wizard.

amen to that
Does anybody in here think the Democrats would do any better than the Republicans if they got back in power?
I don't - think the whole Washington wad is ruled by the industrialists/lobbyists........
.....with big oil right in the center.

To Anon at 10:09: I would say 200 people is unnacceptable, due to the fact that loss of life was completely preventable.

Big cat daddy: You must be trippin'
If you had 10,000 people to evacuate you couldn't get 200 to not stay behind.
Is it thoretically possible? Yes. Given the way people are now days no way.
Did you hear they found over 100 N.O. city buses parked and flooded. Don't you think they could have used them to evacuate? You bet.

A smart man once warned my about aurguing with children, drunks, and idiots.....

Wizard, you're not very well informed and behing the times like all the other liberals. Bush will go down in history as a Great.
Hey Wizard: Suspicions confirmed. You can't support your arguement so you resort to a smoke screen.
Typical for a liberal. Jousting at windmills.
You Go Wizard!!!!
HE LOOKS SO CLUELESS - GO FIGURE!
