From The Weekend

I think we're slowly becoming a nation of barbarians. Edit: That was quick. No one uses the copyright hammer more quickly than Major League Baseball.

I think we've always been a nation of barbarians - especially when alcohol is involved.

I think the difference now with the internets and youtubes, everyone gets the opportunity to share in the barbarianess that is us.

When you live in a flash media that is only looking for "train wrecks", what do you expect. Since when has there been a news leadoff story of someone doing good? All I saw this weekend on the news was destruction and murder.

What has created the bigger downfall of society, the internet (ironic) or cable tv?

Probably has something to do with TV. It's pretty much destroyed all of our values.

Since a large portion of our professional sports attendees go to the events as an excuse to drink beer, that's what you get! Of course, I can't think of a very good reason why you would want to go and watch the pro athletes nowadays, either.
