What a wonderful tribute! You know, there are a lot of adults who say teenagers today are nothing but a bunch of punks.... I certainly disagree. I am a teacher and this type of respectful and heartfelt tribute is just one example of how blessed we are as a community/county/state to have the type of wonderful kids that we do! GOD BLESS YOU, YOU WONDERFUL KIDS!!

Leslie Denison was a Christian and a child of God. I walked with her last spring as she dedicated her life to Christ through confirmation. I find peace in knowing that she is at God's side at this moment. Praying for the entire Cox family as they deal with this unbelievable tragedy.

Where are YOU and the Messenger on the firing of Robert Morgan?

All my daughter wanted to do this morning is watch Hannah Montana and coundnt because our media feels that they have to celebrate the life of one of country's greatest douche bags.

Anonymous said...

my oh my what happened to the mighty panthers?
good job alvoid.
i heard from three people that morgan quit, including from one person at the MESSy paper. but who cares, this is time to hear about our friday night heroes

after all these years of great bridgeport O, we are about to see a season of great D! watch out.

i heard the paper and mr morgan had a mutual agreement. either way, if we discussed all the paper the wcm goes through, then this blog would suffer overload and prolly crash.
i hope today's wcm is not a reflection of things to come or else the change is not going to be good. there are more sports than football, and thats what morgan gave us - everything. even back when the current owner was a sports reporter and covering my kids' sports, his variety was slim to none.
enough of that, how bout them Eagles? i hope they dont fall like our panthers did last night. ouch

the lights went out in chico? BG, did they finish the game, or how early did they end it?
GO BOYD. thanks for handing it to bowie in its first game on their new field.
hahaha

The last I saw anything of RM was cheap classless comments on a public forum. I wondered for years how he kept his job.

What is the "F"

bports defense looked great out there, but the offense wasnt all that..., but i suppose i am used to seeing bport put up big offensive numbers year in and year out, maybe the d will be lighting it up this year, and decatur will more than likely get killed tonight against that dallas team, i hear they have extremely fast offense.

i love hannah montana

Go Dawgs! Nice last minute catch, TD and win! Win or lose, it's going to be a great year in Alvord. With most of the dead heads gone, that place is ROCKIN!

Anonymous said...

Oh Barry, Thank you so much for being Barry. We love you so much. You are greater than duct tape, really.

Anonymous said...

Boyd and Bowie did not play at the new field. still at the old place.

the first quarter tonight has to be over. is decatur losing to madison already?

Anonymous said...

good grief, the love blogging last night was horrible. no details on any of the game, total time waste. we miss mr morgan already. and there is no blogging of decatur tonight and that's the only game of the night in wise county.

Why the hell is Decatur playing a freakin' DALLAS team? Is this a ploy to make us think we are a big city team, therefore we must also have the big city turf now?

Sorry, Story, your ploy failed! How dare you use our boys as pawns in your political, ladder-climbing, egotistical schemes. Why don't you take YOURSELF to the city and see how long you'd last there.

Dallas Madison is a 3A school. Decatur is a 3A school.

Well, I hope the sports reporters cover the progress of the Decatur Cross Country Team, especially the girls team--they are going to be VERY good again this year! Let's get TWO State Championships in a row, girls!!

Anonymous said...

Wow 12:45! I feel sorry for people who have so much hate in their heart.

Anonymous said...

7:49, You people like to throw that word "hate" around like it is some kind of insult. I guess anyone who has a different opinion than you must be a "hater." Well, I'll take that over "stupid," which is what you are.

A little about the Paradise game. The new QB, Goforth, replacing the injured Glover, was very good. However he spent the whole game running for his life because there was no blocking. The Van Alstyne players were not a lot bigger than the Paradise players, but O and D lines pushed Paradise around all night. Paradise play execution seemed off. The new center needs more practice. I believe they lost a lot of Seniors last year. They could have used a little Caleb Page Friday night. If they can protect the quarterback, they can have high scoring games. Unfortunately it will be high scoring on both sides unless the defense stops someone.

Anonymous said...

Hey 11:31
Caleb Page didnt do anything last year, how would he have helped Friday night.
Paradise is young and it could be a long year for the Panthers. Good thing they have Alvord, Chico and Millsap in the district so they will make the playoffs and then its one and done as usual

Chico should just give up on football... Shit, they should just give up on all sports.
