Very Odd Hornbuckle Trial Tidbit

I have always said that seasoned litigation attorneys that have been piling money up for years finally reach a point where the money doesn't mean anything anymore.

Then it all becomes a matter of ego.

This is unfortunately the pinnacle of their career because their only thrill now is in winning for ego sake and they spiral downward to loose the last bit of human dignity they had.

They are truly transformed into a machine that devours other human beings for sport. Family lawyers are the worst closely followed by personal injury attorneys, product liability lawyers and finally criminal defense. They finally whore themselves out to the fullest extent. Decatur has some of the biggest whores around -- just make a lap around the square, they encircle the courthouse like f^#%3ing buzzards feeding on the carcasses of poor people who cannot fend them off.

The only thing bigger than their bank accounts is their ego, the only thing smaller than their hearts are their dicks.

and your point is? said...

Whew......Have you had a bad day, or what?

Sounds like anon has a very small ... eerrr ... ego

11:02 Seems like you have seen the wrong end of several lawsuits. If you read the story, the publicity idea was the judge's not the lawyer's. Good luck representing yourself in Court the next time you maim somone or bitch slap your spouse.

8:31 Get a f'n clue you inbred 6th-grade-educated wise county jerk-water hillbilly. JUDGES ARE ATTORNEYS.

Wow, somebody hit a nerve. Must have been on the wrong side of a judge's sentence.

Where would we be without good attorneys? They are NOT the enemy!

Anonymous said...

Txsharon -- a "good attorney" is an oxymoron. Could you please enlighten us on a "good attorney". I do not think such an animal exists.

TXsharon said...

10:33 anon: I've had several good attorneys. I've also had attorneys, here in Decatur, who showed kindness and generosity toward me.

Maybe you have poor judgment in choosing attorneys or perhaps if you were a nicer person...

If you dislike all attorneys, simply represent yourself next time you have a legal matter. Good luck in that.

TXSHARON - all due respect for your opinion but perhaps you do not have anything that the attorneys want.

I have been fortunate in life to accumulate some wealth and I have found myself on several occasions to be the target of "get rich quick" schemes that aimed to strip me of what I have worked for.

The scheme's are carried out by those individuals who have chosen to neither educate themselves or work honestly. They are always flanked by a millionaire attorney who wants their cut.

Before you jump to any comments which labels me a complete asshole, I will tell you that I grew up in Decatur in a lower middle class family who had basically nothing. I have worked hard for everything that I have -- no gimme's, silver spoons or trust funds here.

I also feel that I have been most generous in helping several single parents to get back to their feet and one interest free business loan to a relatively new acquaintance for $25K (he slowed payed me for 4 years and there was never a lawsuit or cross words).

maybe what angers me so much is my personal integrity which would never allow me to try to extort money from another individual.

I will disregard your comment about my needing to be a "nicer person"

12:20 anon: I am not without resources.

It sounds like you have had some bad luck with people. I'm sorry. However, lumping all attorneys into one group is as unfair to the honest, hard working attorneys as saying that, based on your bad luck, all business people end up the target of get rich quick schemes.

There are ethical people and unethical people in all professions. If you ever need the names of ethical attorneys in Decatur, let me know.

Best of luck to you

It will be interesting to see what the defense is. I want to believe that the guy is guilty but I do find it interesting that most of the alleged victims did not come forward until the lone one did. The defense says they the women are just angry because they were spurned when he was finished with the relationships. I think it would be hard to be a member of this jury.

TXSHARON -

Is that your actual picture in your profile?

The only picture I see on this thread is June Cleaver.

11:02 PM Anon makes me say "whoa", and the only county I can think of that is worse than Wise is Cooke - bigger egos and even smaller dicks....and I haven't forgotten about the non-postable blog B did about Tim Cole from Montague County....holy cow - Montague County is a story unto itself - B, you must axe yourself if you really know the truth behind all of Tim's ordeal. I will say that there are just three or four lawyers left around this area that are worthy of being called righteous, and that I would consider hiring if I needed one of their kind. Thank whatever I haven't had to yet.

To 11:02, many attorneys are women, who indeed have very small dicks.

12:20 anon, it appears that your personal integrity leaves plenty of room for self rightousness, egotism, and santimony. If only you could look at yourself with the same light you view others. What a smug, egocentric individual you seem to be. People like you are frightening.

I am not trying to be "holier than thou" in any way.

I am simply saying that I have helped people in life and I choose to dislike it when people attempt to extort money because they will not work.

I also choose to dislike the attorney's who enable and encourage this activity for their own benefit. Can you tell me what is egotistical or sanctimonious about that?

Don't get too upset with Anon 11:02/Anon 12:20. I recognize him from another posting. He's the guy who - when he was a little kid - he was bitten by a lawyer. He's been kind of twitchy ever since.

(Also, don't ever say "Niagra Falls" around him.)

Anonymous said...

I have never been bitten by a lawyer (in the literal sense). I can only assume you are a lawyer?? Based on Barry being an attorney, I assume there are a few of you slithering around in here.

Care to expand on the Niagra comment. I don't get it?????

Anonymous said...

Hey Barry, let's do a poll on the best to worst attorney in Wise County?!

Anonymous said...

"Niagra Falls." Three Stooges routine. Guess you had to be there.

Anonymous said...

Yes anon 12:52, we all know that Barry will be voted the "best".

Anonymous said...

I find it interesting that Anon 10:18 is inferring that I am an idiot when he is the one referencing 3 stooges routines from his memory.

TXsharon said...

10:18 anon: "don't ever say "Niagra Falls" around him."

LMAO!

Anonymous said...

TxSharon -- why are you being mean to the "i hate lawyers" guy?

Anonymous said...

I'm not a lawyer, but I play one on TV.
