Was this a survey of Christian denominations? No category for Jew, Hindu, Moslem etc.? Or is that because there are none of these in Wise Co.?

After having a home in Wise County for more than 20 years I think it is safe to say that the general thought in Wise County is; if you are not Christian and regularly attend worship services you are "other" which makes you just as likely to go to "Hell" as those people who are "spiritual" and worship God and do not worship Jesus and those people who are atheists.

It is my belief that there will be a trainload or more Wise County, Christians who will be VERY surprised by the reception they experience and companions they encounter upon embarking on their journey through eternity.

Barry's surveying denominations. Mzchief is guessing at numbers ("trainload or more")regarding the number of folks who start on a "journey through eternity" and become surprised at what/who they encounter. I'm guessing she's either been mistreated in/at church or she thinks she's been mistreated in/at church. Nearly everyone I know has had unhappy experiences at church. I'm trusting in Jesus, not organized religion, to make things right between me and a holy God.

Mzchief, what is your belief? How did you come to the conclusion of of the Lord our God, who in the flesh is Christ Jesus, worshiping one, you worship both. Lived in Wise county all my 43 years, and do believe the Word of God completely. Those who do not obey will surely be on a journey to Hell.

I am proud to be a Methodist. All of the fun and none of the guilt.

Do you know why you have to take two Baptists fishing with you???

If you take just one he will drink all the beer.

Hey Meth...you saying that you can get hammered at anytime and not feel guilty about it???

Baptist said...

I think Meth is saying it's ok to drink because he's a methodist. Shame many people are meth's just so they WON'T feel guilty about drinking!

Party all you want to Meth - God will be the one to judge you.

the Bible doesn't say don't drink, it says don't get drunk. Recorded all through the Bible is the mention of wine. And, what about the first miracle, it had to do with wine, which was important stuff back then.

I am saying that you are able to live a normal life and do the things that you please without being shamed by other people in the church. If it means having a few beers then that is fine.

Not a random sample, so as long as the "who we are" refers to bloggers, fine. Plus there are clearly repeat voters. The Bible does not say don't get drunk, it makes no mention of "armageddon" or other terms that thru folklore have been credited to the Bible. What it does say is that God created males and females, told them to go forth and be fruitful, and that later on God made Adam. Fits in so nicely with science, yet you can't find a Baptist in Wise County capable of reading the first few passages of Genesis and realizing it. Who did Cain marry? How could he go to another land and find a wife? Easy. There were people on the earth already. Bible says so, but Baptists can't believe it.

Ok to drink but not be drunken with wine....

When I was born a baby I was cute, but now Im ugly. How much time elapsed? Same a Genesis, dosent say how many kids they had, and they lived alot longer then. A three year old can understand this.

anon 1:13pm study more and leave science out of it, the wisdom of man is foollishness to God.

christian, you poor fool. I suppose you buy into the biblical life spans of several hundred years "back then." Was that because they lived cleaner lives? Did they have a better medical plan? No, you just accept these fairy tales to make yourself feel better. Unfortunately, I'll not hear from you after death when you suddenly realize this religion stuff was all society control and there is no after life. Sorry.

I really want to know - someone please tell me, how did I get here? There was Adam and Eve, and they had Cain and Abel, so, how did I get here? Incest?

Christian said...

anon4:42 Yes I believe all the bible says. After death, you probably will not hear from me, and I will realize what I have done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ was all worth the pain and names I have been called, thank you for this, I rejoice. To God be true.

Christian-

I will see you there!!!!!!!!

All the pain and name calling is NOTHING compared to the pain JESUS took on for us. And all the time we were on HIS mind.

Now that my friend is TRUE LOVE!!!
