Let's Get Artistic

Sheesh, the local affiliates all have brief coverage of the Paradise Fire of 2008 but there's nothing really new to add. But I did find this pic in on the Dallas Morning News web site taken by Vernon Bryant.

Place your bets on whether the Messenger's Joe Duty tops it tomorrow.

If you will get back on update and utilize the click here prompt, their coverage from todays fires. Some Pics and video, a very shaky video. That is what they were doing when the update link was down!!

that is a very neat photo.

i got all my morning papers, and the star-telegram gets the prize. that HUGE front page photo beats joe duty, DMN and all the ones ive seen online.

Country living is great until your house burns down because there's too much country around you and your country friends can't help but throw their stilll-lit butts out of their vehicle and start fires. Low taxes are great until your house burns down because there are not sufficient services to protect your house from your chain smoking country neighbors.

8:28 Way to be compassionate for fellow human beings. I hope that you never have to face what these people are going through. Next time feel free to keep your rude, asinine comments to yourself.

828 I am going to assume you aren't a country neighbor or maybe you wouldn't be griping so much. There are a lot of people who drive down 114 who don't live in wise county so I wouldn't be placing blame on something you can't otherwise know for fact.

when you choose to live in a trailer and in the middle of nowhere, you have to expect one day your walls are going to come burning down. there is NO WAY a volunteer department can get to a home out in no-mans land and save it. its not a knock on any department, but when you choose to live that life style, you have to know the any help will be many minutes away.
