Hey, The Sign Said "Stop"

Noticed one of the new combo street light/ stop sign contraptions on the courthouse square was run down over the weekend by some crazed maniac. I hope Decatur has about 100 replacements laying around because it'll need them.

All that road work and sidewalk work that was completed does not look good. Looks like we kind of did things hodge podge.

You would think that with all of the Courthouse surveilance that's in place, there would be some video of who keeps running over those signs. Maybe we could get the DA's office to investigate it.

The DA can't see the stop sign from her new office in the basement.

The crabs are back and now destroying street signs. They need to get a grip and jump back in their pots on the stove at Frilly's.

And....where are the "Crab Crossing" signs for downtown?

I think the work done looks FANTASTIC! Not, hodge podge!
Maybe have to put those stop-sign-street-lamp poles in a metal "cage" that rises up about one third of the way.
Courthouse surveilance?? I always wondered why they don't have surveilance cameras at the top of the courthouse (one on each side) so as to cover the entire square! Could catch a lot of taggers... etc. City council... whatchathink?

Barry, I have a business proposition for you. Team up with a cop to write citations and right before he lets them go, give them your business card to represent them at trial. It's a lot easier than chasing after ambulances. Am I a genius or what? I don't even want a cut of the action.

It's against human nature to stop in Decatur.

What I would like to know is what ever happened to the idea of all "downtown" employees parking off of the "square". As I looked at the picture posted I noticed one car inparticular that I see parked at the courthouse every single day. Maybe someone gets pissed when they cant find a spot to park to visit a local merchant and just takes out a sign or two on his/her way back to where they came from.....just an idea??!?!?

No one knows how to stop at stop signs on the square anyway...
