My Nominee For Father Of The Year
I tried to avoid this, but I can't. The news media is all over Alex Baldwin for leaving a not so sweet message for his 12 year old daugher. (And I don't think "pig" is an official nickname for her.)
Edit: I've rejected several comments, not because I find them offensive, but because they contain assertions of fact that I don't know are true. (Hint: if you'll leave off the "unmarried and pregnant" references, it'll probably get through.)

THAT message is NINE types of SCARY. I cannot imagine being a child and receiving a message like that from a PARENT. That message only adds MORE fuel to the allegations that Baldwin is an "out of control" BULLY.
If as an adult I received a message like THAT I would certainly seek a means to protect myself from the psycho jerk who threatened me.

I find it strange that her personal vm ended up on the internet. None of us know the entire story behind his message, not that I'm taking up for him. I dislike him profusely but how many times have any of us been hurt emotionally by a child or spouse and said things we regret. Again I still find it funny that a PERSONAL voice mail ended up all over the internet. Sounds like someone is trying to paint a picture that is not necessarily accurate.

OK, I'll confess.....I have, at times, even when he was a wee one, called my only child, my dear, beloved son, a little ba$tard to his face. I have called him that through out the years - and when I did, he would usually respond quite sailorly. He's coming up on his 28th birthday, and he still loves me, and I still love him.
I think, sometimes we just need to scream at each other. I think it does a body good.
however, I do think Alec is a big pr^c&, and his daughter probably is a little pi@.

Well, I have to take another viewpoint. The father was trying to contact his daughter who would not answer her phone. He deserves the courtesy of a pick-up. Alec's tirade seems excessive but I'm guessing many of ya'll would be pretty irate with the daughter’s avoidance. I don't know the girl but I'm guessing she's been poison against her dad and is probably a little Hollywood princess who'd drive any of ya'll nutz.
