The late, lamented Sage Reminder published in Glenwood Springs, CO used to have the weekly police blotter digest called "Cop Shop." It was more fun than the Wise County Mess. because the editors named names from the police reports and used really snarky diction in the copy. It was always fun reading which former classmates ran afoul of the law. Good times pre-Internet.
The Messenger Cop Shop needs to step its game. It needs to be more Ditka and less Coach Softie.
