The US Border Patrol requeted that all patrol officers who have to touch and inspect everything coming into the USA wear rubber gloves and protective masks. Janet Napolitano this morning RESCINDED the directive and told the officers that wearing masks "LOOKS TOO INTIMIDATING"!
AND! The US Border Patrol that has to touch all kinds of stuff entering the US from Mexico took precautions to have the officers wear protective masks and gloves to ward off exposures to the flu virus.
The BRILLIANT Obama Secretary of Homeland Security today RESCINDED that order, stating, "Officers will not wear masks because it makes them look too intimidating."
There you have it, the Obama twist with a cabinet full of nut cases! Now the same looney toons here in Decatur. We have lost....where do we surrender?
Hasn't anyone noticed that our illustrous local newspaper can't even spell either? Not only is "cancelled" misspelled, but "cities" should be "city's". This is journalism at its worst, and once this gets to Leno, he'll have a field day. Once again, Wise Co. makes the news for being ignorant and stupid. Whoever made the decision to cancel the flu drill because of a threat of the flu needs to removed from office, tarred and feathered, and then run out of town.
Yeah, they did misspell cancelled, but you misspelled illustrious. And maybe the event is being conducted in conjunction with more than one city; that would make sense, and make "cities" correct. That's not journalism at its worst, that's just journalism at its most basic. Spelling errors aren't the worst thing that can happen at a newspaper, so calm down.
Tarring and feathering sounds pretty ignorant and stupid, by the way. Hope you were speaking figuratively
The influenza virus can, has and will mutate into a vicious killer. With the attitude of people in Wise County, their sarcasm toward those taking precautions and their failure to wash their hands after visiting the bathrooms it may be here that the mutation occurs
