Dirty, Dirty Fox News

The first part of the clip shows Obama reading a question (and answering it) at a town hall meeting. The last part of the clip shows how Fox News cuts up the tape to give the impression that Obama held the belief of the question. Shocking. And I've been told to only worry about the "liberal media." Source.

It was open season on the GOP for 8 years---so do the Dems feel about being in the media crosshairs now and taken out of context? Funny how that hot shoe seems to be on the other political party foot now doesn't it?

Get this Barry....as far as we are concerned Fox is liberal media.

Spin that, TurdBile. More Faux News for the right wing robots.

Uh... I watched it three times and still fail to see your point. I'm neither a Fox-News-watcher nor Obama-hater, and I don't understand what you're talking about. Fox played him reading the question three times but not his affirmative answer. What did I miss?

7:49 - I would be appalled at ANY network changing the facts the way it's done here. Totally utterly dishonest and all you can say is the shoe is on the other foot????

Show me one time when any network that tries to call itself fair did this to Bush. If they actually did , I would be appalled at that.

This is what FOX will continue to do and people will continue to buy - they will have Pres. Obama making statements he never made, just so they can villify him. Because if you just listen to his actual words, they can't make him out to be something scary. IN fact to most of us, find him quite impressive, but then again we listen to what he really does say.

What network allows this sort of thing???????

The liberal media is gasping for its last breath. After the Obamanation disappears, the liberal media will be dead and this country will not elect another leftie for decades. Cherish the moment all you liberal weanies.

Fox News does this type of thing frequently. Fox News collaborated with the Bush/Cheney Republican misinformation strategy for 8 years.

It took a while, but most people finally realized they were being fed lies. Republicans lost the public trust, lost the presidency, lost congress. Currently only 21% of the US population declare themselves Republican.

Anyone who still chooses to watch Fox News is living in a dream world.

Media - all of it - is the down fall of American Democracy.

The 949 conservative dikhed must have a crystal ball to profoundly announce this information to the world! Or maybe has studied the Nancy Reagan star gazing into the future.

I think that is why Arlen Specter finally opened his eyes and went back to the Democratic Party!!!

This clip is just typical of FAUX "news". Apparently there are many on this blog who are ignorant enough to watch and believe this stuff.

Considering you got this from the Daily Kos, are you sure that it was Fox that fiddled with the tape? I don't have much faith in anything that Kos puts out.

This Week's Overall News Theme: Sword Fighting
= HILARIOUS best spin theme ever

You know what's a concern? The people on here who watched that & "don't get it," or who think there was nothing dishonest about it.

So that must be our problem - low IQ's (to put it nicely).

If only Obama's universal health care plan was like European countries, it would have a better chance of working! He is not saying anything different than he said during his campaign by NOT calling it universal health care fashioned like other countries.

Regardless, it is going to ration care targeting toward the elderly. Most people on Medicare do not know that their medical providers medicare claims are not being processed while payments are being cut by a Democratic Congress! Basically the doctors are sustaining Medicare treatment; while HMOs, home health care and hospitals are getting most of the Medicare dollars. That is why NOW so many doctors are not taking Medicare patients. This cannot continue because doctors have to pay to keep their offices open.

The Obama regime plans to push through a new program for health care without debate from the minority! The program, regardless what he calls it, will have big government between the patient and the provider! It will be worse than any nightmare HMO we can imagine!

The Obama regime health care for every American will only ad to a growing deficit because his plan does not call for a single payer system. The real savings in health care is to take out the insurance companies and the employers saving a large percent of administrative costs.

Since insurance companies make large political contributions, he is not willing to make that step yet.

What should concern everyone is we don't know what the plan is because they haven't come up with one yet! The devil is in the detail and we are not going to like the outcome.

Daily Kos like moveon.org are left wing propaganda machines for Obama. Most people don't pay any attention to either unless they are progressives on the hard left.

7:49 I am glad to know someone here talks personally with Mr.Obama, otherwise you have never heard him make a statement that didn't have the possibility of having had a media spin just like this one put on it. JUDGE PERFOMANCE thats all that counts.

Arlen Specter swapped parties because he knew he was going to have his rear end handed to him in a Republican primary. He made a deal with Obama before he switched for Obama to campaign for him.

Riding the political winds doesn't equate "opened his eyes and went back to the Democratic Party!!!"

Specter has always been liberal, sqeaking by on important conservative issues. He has said, that he was increasingly "at odds with the Republican philosophy"

This may mean he is finally following his heart and going full out liberal while 'the gettin is good' but, as I said he didn't said a chance in the next primary anyway and that's really why he HAD to leave the party.

I could tell Obama was reading a question. Where FoxNews failed was in NOT providing Obama's answer that he does indeed want universal health care for all Americans. Having grown up in a country with universal health care I can assure you, Americans do NOT want universal health care. There is a reason the old people in the U.K. are in good health. People with poor health DIE before they get old.

If a woman finds a lump in her breast it could be a month before she gets an appointment to have the doctor write the order for a test, another 6 weeks waiting for the test and another, 2-4 weeks waiting for the results, 2-4 months before a biopsy/surgery. Waiting 6-9 months to remove a cancerous breast tumor can be the difference between life and death for a woman with breast cancer. Check out the cancer survival rates in the U.K and Europe.

There is a reason Brits are known for having horrific teeth, it is called Universal Health Care.

One good thing that comes out of universal health care is that STUPID people no longer are able to go to the doctor or take their children to the doctor because they have a COLD. It is a COLD and the doctor has no means to provide a cure so people are REQUIRED to use over the counter meds. If you can find a doctor who treats colds and want to go to the doctor you would have to pay for it out of your pocket. Private care in the U.K and Europe costs 2-3 times what it costs in the U.S. due to high demand because universal health care SUCKS. Brits and Europeans, with money, typically go to Croatia, Brazil and Czech Republic for elective surgery because the care is so much cheaper and BETTER.

Care to cite your sources 8:05. Do you know any Europeans? Didn't think so.

To k1p...Feel free to read the article at Telegraph.co.uk and make note that the U.S., currently leads the world in cancer survival. If you bother to read the article make special note of the following information; "England was the fifth worst in a league of 22 countries. Scotland came bottom. Cancer experts blamed late diagnosis and long waiting lists." You do realize, early detection, is key to survival, right?

I know more people who currently live in and are from Europe than I know in the States. Combined time wise, I have spent approximately 2 of the past 5 years in Europe. Though my family's home was in England, I was educated, as a child, in France and Germany. You might want to do a wee bit more practice thinking and then there might come a day when you are sufficiently good at thinking that you might want to give it a go in public and have a hope in Heaven of not embarrassing yourself.

You're Welcome! You must be new or quite dim otherwise you would know that I NEVER post a comment without knowing VALID FACTS to substantiate my assertion.

Thanks Mzchief, I am afraid people in the US here "free" health care and that is the end of the conversation. Nothing is free. It will cost our pocket books and possibly our good health.

As far as the video, Obama wants universal health care, not neccessarily modeled after Europe. What's the problem with Fox? Maybe you are hearing what you want to hear.

Don't mean to offend or be snarky but I can Google too! ( Not so much w/ teh HTML)

And one could find an infinite number of citations to withhold ones argument, regardless of which side of whatever argument you are on. My point is this. The US health care system is broken and it needs to be fixed sooner than later. If we do nothing to protect the less fortunate in our society we fail.

I had a great job that I was let go from earlier this year and I am in school now to further my education. I will soon have to switch to COBRA and I'm not looking forward to it. I need to follow up on that part of the stimulus plan which would help unemployed people with their COBRA payment (Unless Governor Hair refused that also).

One advantage that foreign companies have over the US is that they don't have massive health care costs. U.S. health care spending is expected to increase for the next decade reaching $4.3 TRILLION in 2017, or 20 percent of GDP.1

http://www.nchc.org/facts/cost.shtml

And I have worked for international companies which offered European workers superior health care plans than what I got here in the US.

I'm not touting England's system; However, our system needs to be fixed before it bankrupts our faltering economy. We have too much bureaucracy to contend with. We cannot afford to tweak the system. It needs to be scrapped and we need to start over.

Anonymous said...

Our system "bankrupts our faltering economy"?

What a strange statement.

Are you OK?

Have you hit your head or something?
