What would ya'll charge us to rehabilitate and keep our killers? You should write your politicians...our state would probably cut a deal with Canada. It costs an absolute fortune to execute people here. I mean, think about it, ya'll could be a shining example to the world.
I think you people are already on the right track just the process is too slow. Only 400 executed in 31 years is grossly inefficient. Remove all the bureaucracy like due process of law. I'm sure the courts in Texas have more important things to deal with than murderers. Also humame execution is an oxymoron. A bullet in the head is cheaper and works just the same.
I think murder victims should testify and tell their side of it. But they never show up. Same for aborted people...I'm tired of only hearing the abortion opinions of people whose mothers allowed them to live. Let's hear from some of those that got aborted, can we please? Just once?
Some of us choose not to be victimized. If that means killing someone to protect myself or my family, I won't think twice. If someone abuses or kills someone I love, I will not depend on our justice system to rehabilitate or punish the individual(s).
I probably don't qualify as a civilized human being. As a matter of fact, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that many people on this blog would have no problem swearing I am insane...perfect defense...
