Random Newspaper Thought

As I kid, I can remember the newspaper guy coming by the house and throwing out a paper in the morning and then come by again around six o'clock and throwing out an evening edition of the paper. How crazy is that. I'm pretty sure it was the Star Telegram.

Dallas Times Herald is the afternoon paper I remember. As a kid I thought it was a great idea since I didn't like to get up early and read the paper, plus, the news in the morning paper is all old! Afternoon papers could have news from today which was cool. But my folks never subscribed to the DTH (seem to remember they thought it was too liberal) and by the time I was old enough, tv news had killed the afternoon papers.

This was also before cable TV and satellite TV existed.

And well before Al Gore created the internet.

Its commonly referred to as....the good ol' days.
