At this moment where I live, the wind is blowing from the west at 44 mph, with gusts up to 53 mph. You're welcome.
Hope we are not headed for another dust bowl.
I remember dust storms growing up in Fort Worth. The worst dust storm I experienced was in San Angelo. An old guy from there described it by saying that West Texas was on the move.Dust storms have a distinctive smell too.
My sister lives in Lubbock---they are advising against travel of any kind! 60+ mph winds. I remember when we lived in west Texas.....and am grateful we live here now! Lived in an older house with nothing but cotton fields out our north-facing back door. Cabinets and floors COVERED with red dirt after one dust storm. Nothing like it.
I'm scared. Hold me Barry.Rage

Thanks a lot, WordKyle. You really shouldn't have.
When I was in school they would close and send everyone home and the street lights would come on.
