You idiots who call for the death penalty for every freaking violation of the law tire me. Do you think maybe your underlying message and opinion is lost a little bit in your stupid statements about the death penalty?
The death penalty, if carried out soon after conviction, does two things: 1. Rids society of scum who don't care about their fellow humans. 2. Might provide some deterrent to those who might think about doing something stupid.
If it does not deter them, see reason 1. Keep this up long enough, we then become a truly civil society.
I agree with you, 2:06, but this case involves a drunk driving death. Before MADD jumps me, I'm not condoning that. I'm just saying it's not a death penalty case.

I agree. The death penalty is not for every crime. But murder during a robbery definately is worth contemplation of the death penalty.
