Warren Buffet is a joke. The government could confiscate all of the US's billionares money, and they would have it spent by the end of the day. Then we are right back where we started from. I get tired of hearing tax the rich. How about tax the 45% that don't pay any taxes. SHEESH
Buffet said that investors don't shy away from sensible investments because of the taxes they'll pay. Then why do tax-free municipal bonds exist? Why do municipal bonds pay a lower interest rate than taxable bonds?
One observation I read pointed out that Buffet taxes himself voluntarily through his philanthropy. He chooses not to give that money to the government. Yet he wants the government to take away other people's money, depriving them of their right to choose.
