Caption This Trophy

With all the reporters in Iowa covering presidential politics at the Iowa State Fair, one of them came upon  the press conference of some company displaying the new trophy that will go to the winner of this years game between Iowa v. Iowa State. It's a father holding an ear of corn in front of the family unit after a hard day's work.  The Internet has not been kind. My favorite so far:

Another one was along the lines of  "Son, I'm sorry, but the farm's lost. Now run on and go get you a football scholarship."

"Son, I'm sorry, but the farm is lost because of the Obammy's regulations that he has imposed such as dust pollution, requiring all tractor operators to have a CDL and keep log books just like over the road truck drivers, telling us what to plant and how much and allowing the US to import most of our petroleum that drives up the cost of diesel and gas that it takes to farm which makes it cost prohibitive. But here's the last bit of corn, so enjoy!"

Son, I know it's not watermelon but this will have to do. Run with this corn as if it were a football and you will get your watermelon one day. Thank you Daddy Obama. I will run like Forest Gump. Life is like a bucket of corn, you never know what your gonna get.

So right. What has happened to us in the last few decades that have made us so cynical and treat good human qualities as if they are something to be ashamed of.

I know you're hungry and want to eat it but the federal government says that we can turn it all into fuel and end up kicking the Arabs' butts.

Glen the Graboid said...

I don't know why we eat it either since it always ends up in the outhouse basement.

Football team in a basket.
Go Buck an ears!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the statue is not made of real silver. This is pewter which has no intrinsic value.

Although the scene depicted is interesting, the value....at auction....would be somewhere around $50.

It's a football trophy? I don't get it. Is the basket full of footballs?!
Odd, very odd.

Oh, so it was Obama that started our reliance on foreign oil decades ago? Before Obama was even born? And by purchasing foreign oil cheaper and in greater volume than we can produce on our own, that drives up the prices? I think I get it.

If that's the Cy-Hawk winner's trophy, think about how fugly the loser's trophy would be. The Floyd of Rosedale trophy awarded to the winner of the Iowa-Minnesota game is a good bit. That thing must have been designed by a focus group.

Let's go, Drake Bulldogs!

11:06, No, It's Obammy's mandate that we don't drill in the gulf. Killing jobs and driving up prices is what he does. Where are your sources for purchasing foreign oil cheaper and in greater volume? Your welcome.

Even the great John Hayden Fry dislikes that trophy so it's over for that design.
