Disclosure: I was appointed this morning by the Court to represent the juvenile. However, it is my belief, after talking to authorities, that the juvenile will not be charged, is not connected to any crime, and will be released from detention this afternoon. Obviously, the appointment puts me in a position of protecting the juvenile above anything else. Any posts and any comments will be moderated accordingly. (Above information is public record taken from the WCSO website.)
Edit at 4:55 p.m.: This afternoon the juvenile in this case was released from detention with no charges being filed. He is not considered a suspect, and has cooperated fully with the police and, specifically, the Texas Ranger assigned to the case and investigators with the Wise County Sheriff's Office. From the facts, it would appear that law enforcement became aware of the alleged murder prior prior to the juvenile learning about it. Before his release, he was consulted with by Child Protective Services who took measures to ensure his safety and well being. As to the future, I expect him to be attending public school on the first day of class.

I'm glad that someone will protect the juvenile. From what I've heard from the mom of a friend of his, he's had a hard life and has made some bad choices as a result. Hopefully this will put him on the straight and narrow and get him some help.

Because these comments are funny, and there's zero that's funny about a 12 year old boy dying.
It is never funny to make fun of a person who killed someone. Not to mentioned this report is about a woman dying. That should be made funny?
Just a couple of clarifications. He was not in two separate wrecks. It's been probably twenty years since he's ridden a motorcycle. One wreck in the Blazer caused him to be scalped (requiring multiple surgeries to replace skin that won't grow hair), severed his left arm that was reattached, punctured his intestines, broke his neck in three places, blinded him with glass for several weeks,as well as traumatic brain injury and the list goes on. And yes btw I do know him.
I'm not going to go into his habits etc except to say this... No creature, human or not deserves to have their life taken, especially cruelly. That said maybe a little "love their soul/hate their behavior" applies here? Prayers offered to all of the families involved...
