He screwed it up by laughing during the intro, then flubbing the set-up line. And his delivery was totally flat. He got the ball in the net with his sheepish "That was a joke" line. Funny If you have to explain the joke, or make the proclamation that it is a joke, then you either suck at joketelling, or your audience is a bunch of morons. Probably a bit of both in this case
I was ready to make a joke about,Of course you'd think it's funny- you have a gay boner for him, but yeah, it was kind of funny and should have elicited a bit better of a chuckle.

Turns out he aint cool and he aint funny. He is a community organizer who has never had a real job. It shows.
It's just a portend of the future for him.
Like most things Obama, his words were much better than his delivery.
