Major Wreck At A Place Where There Is Always A Major Wreck

Edit: That one ended up in a fatality and now there's a big wreck on 380. Edit again: The 380 wreck was a traffic mess but no major injuries.

I came through there yesterday. Couldn't help but notice all the crosses and other memorials there.

Incompetent TXDOT: Check design speed limit against actual speed limit (if it is posted), check effects of sight distance, check curvature of roadway, check grade of roadway. Calculate stopping distance. Incompetent.

This strip of roadway reminds me of SH114 at FM2123 where so many people died before the community yelled loudly and educated TXDOT in the science of the grade and curvature of roadways and stopping distances. The posted speed limit at that location is still 5 to 10 MPH too fast.

its a bad place, people are driving too fast, there is a slight hill, and you add the not a parking area parking area where there is always someone blocking full view

And now it is becoming a parking lot for the commuters and the trade's people as well since they shut down their 114/51 corner!

It's not at that intersection, Barry. It's north of there but south of the 114 intersection. Still, that's one deadly place down there.

I've always wondered why people bury there dead on the side of the road where they were killed.

Me too, 3:37PM......And in my humble opinion, this place is one of the devil's armpits of Wise County. Where's the other one, people?

I don't have a clue where this is. Can someone give more details?

5:02--on 51 on the way to Springtown. Just after you come off 114 onto 51. Drive by it twice a day everyday. Saw the markings on the road this morning.
