I'm Suing Willie Nelson

Willie gets busted (again) for pot in Texas a couple of weeks ago and now he starts a "Willie Nelson Teapot Party"  with a facebook page. The motto: "We lean a little to the left."

Wait. Lean? To the left? Like lean to the liberal side? Like Liberally Lean.

Get attorney Jackie Chiles on the horn. I've been after this guy for years.

Love it, Willie, you bad boy!

There are two things that will make me defect to Europe. Willie Nelson being imprisoned in Texas for weed and Sarah Palin becoming president.

The majority doesn't want it legal. Meanwhile, because of people like Willie Nelson, thousands are murdered in Mexico. I guess the habit is worth the deaths. Why are so many musicians and singers on drugs? Alfred Lord Tennyson was correct when he wrote the line "I am part of all that I have met".

I just smashed my large Willie Nelson CD collection. To hell with him and his music. Keep stuffing the body bags Willie.

Brewcrew, I hope you enjoy the free healthcare and the influx of Muslims.

Me too 10:48 - and I'm an old woman.

Go Willie!

If he quit pot, that voice wouldn't sound near as mellow.

10:54, Stop smoking dope, get an education and you might be able to get a job other than working in the oil fields. It is "their", not "there". And if you intended for what you wrote to be a sentence, you need to end it with a period.

11:01 Quote your source for the belief the majority of us don't want it legalized. I wish you straight-laced up-tight folks would try it....you might actually like it! I guarantee it'll be legal soon....too many folks would vote for it.

Hey 11:19--------

You must be a real fun guy to hang out with.

First, that oilfield trash you seem to look down on probably makes more money than you do. And he is doing a real man's work to earn it. You're probably some scum-sucking leech of a government employee who produces nothing of value.

Second, did you happen to drive your gasoline burning car to work or heat your house with natural gas lately? You might want to be thankful that oilfield trash has the job he has.

Dumbass

The only way they'll get stoner voters to turn out is if they provide snacks at the polling sites

Can I buy your lunch some day? I would be more than glad to......or is that too? I'm such dumb oil field trash that I don't know the difference. Or should I have used an exclamation point because I was stressing the fact. According to most of the Lawyer/Bean Counter(CPA)/sit-set behind the desk type individuals that comment on this blog, no one else is entitled to make a mistake without bringing down the wrath of God. Oh wait, I shouldn't have mentioned God. Now that will surely offend some of you self righteous hypocrites.

I'm with Brewcrew. On both subjects. 11:06 you are part of the loud minority. The only reason that the right wing won the house is because voter turnout was anemic, like it usually is in mid term elections. The more folks that vote, the less chances the repugs have of winning. You can take that to the bank.

Unfatcat....the only reason the right wing won the house is because the current presidential administration pushed an agenda that the majority of Americans disagreed with. The polls all stated this prior to and post election. I am not sure where you get your logic that if more folks voted that "repugs" have less of a chance. The way I see it is that cross-section of Americans that did vote just mirrored the views of majority.

By the way, Willie Nelson and Sarah Palin are really not much different, both are just making a living catering to the dregs of society!

If we had known it would be this easy to run goofball liberals out of here, we could have tossed ol' Shotgun Willie in the pokey a long time ago

Brewcrew said...

Wait! Hold on a minute. I'm not a left wing hippie. I would free Willie Nelson not because I believe in legalizing weed but for all the good he has done.

Second, and most importantly, I want a republican in office. Just not Sarah Palin. Can you imagine a chick in the White House? Thumbs down. Call me a sexist bigot but don't call me a democrat.

Hemp & hemp products do not get my juices going. Never been a user & probably never will be a user. But, feel outlawing it is overkill. A more realistic approach would be legalize under the same laws we apply to alcohol (age to use, not in moving vehicle, not under influence, etc). Not open the floodgates to all drugs (cocaine, meth, crack, etc.). Just marijuana. Folks, you can still get a pretty good supply of gasoline on any street corner for vapor huffing if you have $2.78 a gallon and your lungs hold out. Plenty of stuff out there to get your buzz on.

I have no problem with citizens working to legalize pot. I disagree with them, but they're doing it the way it's supposed to be done. What I don't understand is the wailing when someone gets busted for pot use, possession or distribution. It's as though pot use being against the law is a surprise to them. (The decision -- if it is a decision and not a compulsion -- to smoke pot despite its illegality is, in itself, a comment on the judgment of those who would benefit from its legalization.)

11:45 and Corner, Spot On! The subject is Pot not attacking a group of workers making a living and might I add there are some very wealthy current and ex oil field people. One owns the Cowboy's and one ran for Texas Governor years back. No problem with Wilie smoking but its not legal. Like speeding and drinking while driving, you get caught you pay the price. Some question's you have to ask are; Would you want your airline pilot high while flying if its legalized? Would you want to drive on Central, LBJ or I-35 with a bunch of drivers that are high? How about a bus driver taking your child to school or a doctor operating on a loved one? Touchy subject based on comment count and even got High Tone and crew back on your board.

11:19 A. Not in the oil field line B. I could buy you. C. Suck it

You oil field guys can drill on my land any time! Those mineral rights keep me in the things I love. As for Willie, he's a super-hero to me, not just for pot but for rebelling against the establishment, which I have backed since I was a teen in the 1960s.

"A speeding car plowed head-on into a group of cyclists in southern Italy on Sunday morning, killing eight of them, officials said. The driver had been smoking marijuana, police said. Bent, mangled bikes were strewn about the scene, and the sheet-draped corpses dotted the two-lane road near Lamezia"
