Graduation Day

I went down to Baylor today for my niece's graduation -- And I hadn't been to a college graduation since my own. I took my camera and snapped a ton of photos. One thing my family always kids me about is my distaste for "posed photos." You know, the typical "walk over there and smile at the camera pic." I hate them simply because I'd rather capture a moment of raw emotion and candor. Which brings me to this pic. It's not the best in the world, but it's my favorite of the day. That's my brother and his daughter after sharing their first post-graduation hug. From there they simply turned and looked out over the auditorium. That's the Baylor seal far off in the background. It is a picture of emotion. At least it is for me.

I always loved Graduation Day because it was about the possibility of the future, not the mistakes of the past.

Great picture! My best to the entire Barry clan on a happy day!

Congratulations, Lauren!

That must be Ron Howard looking at his next movie potential.

Hey BG, speaking of graduates, I understand there may have been an arrest of a Decatur High School student, by a Decatur cop, for PI while on a party bus that the parents of the students paid for. I think the arrest was a class "C" arrest and happened in Ft. Worth and the kid had to go to Tarrant Co. Jail. What the heck! You talk about a shock Value! Decatur cops are out of control...

I never knew Jon had a sister.

Keeping in the tradition of the Green family business acumen, Jon once tried to match his sister with an heir of a large sports franchise. That boy may end up with the largest net worth in the family. lol

Your brother does have a great family. Lauren is a sweet girl and I always enjoy seeing her. Congrats to her and the whole family. What's Stacy going to do with all that money not going towards tuition?

AWESOME photo.
.

The only problem with the photo is that we do not get to see your neice's (I elected not to use her name to respect her privacy) beautiful face.
.

I knew her as a very cute little 4 year old and vivacious teen and am thrilled to see she has grown into an absolutely lovely young woman.
.

Congrats to S & J for raising such a wonderful child and outstanding young adult.

I also attended the Baylor Graduation on Friday. My husbands cousin graduated. Unfortunatly for me, a woman near my seat ate corn nuts through most of the ceremony. Do you know how gross those things smell?

Congrats to your brothers family!
