Had a chance to spend some time in Wise County the other week. Saw some good football (Bridgeport and Paradise) and spend some time with sme good ol' country folk. However, when I entered the town that I presumed was pronounced "Alvord" the people there kept refering to it as "Alvoid". Did someone go around and change the "R's" to "I's"? After a while I actually felt sorry for the little ignorant folks.
5:23, educate yourself. You don't know if that lady is African. She could be, but you don't know. It'd be like calling Barry Australian just because he's white.

Avoid Alvoid if at all possible.
