Gig Em

The Aggies won last year with a cheap shot on Colt McCoy of The Evil Empire. They are nominated again this year for almost killing Tech's Graham Harrell.

The nominees.

Get over it Barry. There wasn't even a flag and if it wasn't for the whining of the announcer and the pathetic acting job by Harrell (who sure looks healthy on the very next play),the discussion should have been about the real penalty. I say where is the intentional grounding flag?

Tech and A&M cheap shots seem to be recurring themes over the years when it comes to poor sportsmanship.

It's common knowledge that Tech fans are among the most classless in the NCAA what with the spitting on opposing teams (A&M, 1987) and throwing tortillas all over the place and killing their own mascot.

After TCU got slaughtered by TT in '04 I had taken some abuse (my own fault for sitting in the TT section w/ a purple shirt on) during the game but was heckled all the way back to the car and was even threatened by a guy walking across Memorial Circle with his young son. My wife and friends (who are all Tech grads) were even embarassed. And while I was embarassed that my alma mater got crushed, I realized that it was only a game and wasn't worth hurting or getting hurt over.

Although my Frogs aren't without sin ~ they got in to the act in '06 when a cheap shot broke a Baylor player's leg. Sorry, Barry.

The great part about that game was after the cheap shot. Graham got up and stuck the Aggys for 6 right in front of their band. After the game at the press conference they asked him what he was saying to the FTAB. He said, "I told them I was a big fan and to have a good performance."

Beating the Aggy in Lubbock is the constant, and beating the Aggy in College Station is just the norm. It may be their house but its still our turf.

By the way Jarhead, the classless clown reference comes from none other than the Texas A&M media guide from a few years back. Judging from your comments on this board, the only sensible thing I have read from you is the part above where you had the sense to marry a Red Raider.

Dear 7:51 (behind the Wall of Anonymity)

Of course it doesn't make sense to you... You're a Tech grad! We call it witty banter... you call it "big unfamiliar words."

Or are you a graduate? I meet a lot of people who "went to" Tech but not many who actually graduate... And the ones who do graduate, well they're just not that bright. With such notable "attendees" (no notable alums) like John Denver and John Hinckley, you must be so proud. Oh wait. Natalie Maines from the

Dixie Chicks! You must love her...

If you want to meet me at Frilly's I'll give you something shiny to keep you occupied. OOOOOOOH! SHINY!!

Oh, before I get in trouble for saying some of that stuff above, Honey, I think you're the smartest girl in the world. Love you!

The only thing i'm going to say on this is, 7:51-- learn to spell.

I am a Fightin' Texas AGGIE, and extremely proud of it.

Why o' why are Aggies such cry-babies?!? All college kids do basically the same things! All college kids can be classless! However the Aggies are the only ones that seem to be so hypocritical and clueless about the fact that they too are human! Case in point: Yell practice and the tasteless "death bed" "joke" about Paterno. Paterno however was the class act as I'm sure he knows all about college kids and just joked it off!!!!

Witty Banter....No way... tasteless remarks or illogical ranting, absolutely. Witty banter...NOT!!! Cheap shots and rabid ranting are very much aggie traditions, as is ignoring it and then justifying it because no flag was thrown or everybody else does it. I doubt you will ever hear aggie speak referred to as witty banter by anyone who didn't attend a&m. Misguided fanaticism, probably. Goofy, absolutely."Oh, I just love me some of them aggies, they are so full of witty banter!" Yean, right.

Not an Aggie but I do think that there were cheaper shots than the one at TT. It is a known fact that when you start cutting people down at the knees then ACL's and MCL's are going to blow by the dozen.

By the way most Aggies are too arogant to stand and most Raider's are too obnoxious.

Jarhead said...

Yeah, I'm proud of him for killing his girlfriend and unborn child. I'm all for killing women and children. The more brutal the slayings, the prouder I am. Kill 'em all, I say. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

??????????

And now back to college football...
