Grease Reunion

I don't think I've ever watched the movie the whole way through, but I remember it being released when I was in high school and the girls loved it. I still remember the night my girlfriend and her gang went to watch it at the drive-in theater in Decatur.

I'm old. Depression. Suffocating depression.

Blogga Please! I remember when Walter Cronkite did a story on Bridgeport. It was going to be the first "solar city" in the USA. There were bumper stickers that read "The city of sun for energy and fun!" or something like that. We were going to have a giant solar electric plant and everybody was going to get rich!

Incidently, he did'nt do a story when the whole thing turned out to be a scam.

Oh, Wellbutrin and Maker's Mark helps with the depression.

Thanks, Barry. My crappy day just turned even crappier.

What a freak. He's an awesome pilot though.

Barry, just remember that Travolta is still going strong. As a woman in her 60's, I can tell you that the 40's are wonderful - don't waste them. And remember that we don't ever grow up - we just grow and hopefully, get better at growing every day. Well, enough of sentimentality. Thanks for the blog.

Would a Drive-In Theatre make it these days? I always thought it would be neat.

You can still go to the drive-in over in Graham during the Summer. Back your pickup into the spot; sit out the lawnchairs in the bed; and enjoy what's in your cooler through both showings. Good times!

There's a drive-in in Granbury. There is also one in Gatesville that has a double feature for 5.00 a carload and has a small indoor cinema.
The Decatur drive-in played adult movies late one night a week. It was my visual initiation to sex.

We used to sit on the hill behind KBobs and watch the movie. We would sneak down the hill and max out all the speakers on the back row for sound (the drive-in was only 'protected' by a barb wire fence). The screen was so far away it was like watching a tv outside but we didn't care.

I remember watching Jaws and Funny Car Summer there. Mostly it was a place for kids to run wild while your parents watched the movie. It was really fun when the film broke or burned. The whole place would go crazy, hollering and honking, then cheering when it came back up. The operator was legendary for getting caught masturbating in the projector room.
It was the first place I drank beer. Gary Hudson was security there when off duty and he busted me.

We used to sit behind the Riverside Drive-in until they built that huge fence.
