Kind Of Remember This

A faithful reader sends a link to a pdf file of about 200 pages concerning the "spaceman" crash, allegedly, in 1897 in Aurora. It seems that in 1973 there was a huge effort to try and dig around in the Aurora Cemetary to try and find the body. If you download the file (and, I'll admit, I kept looking through it far longer than I thought I would) check out the newspaper clippings from around the nation beginning at about page 100.

The radiation could explain all the deformed people in Wise county...

But seriously, I don't believe a word of the the Aurora story. However, I do believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life. In our galaxy alone there are over 400 billion stars. About a tenth of those are G type, which could allow for the formation of Earth like planets, and maybe even life. There are also numerous other factors that are needed, but I don't feel like going into it now.

Life did form here. Why can't it form else where?

Leave my Aurora alien alone - He's even listed on the historical marker at the Cemetery.

If you go by city hall they have an alien skull to greet people. The City Employees will tell you they dug it up. Sometimes they'll tell you the cemetery caretaker is the alien condemned to work on this planet for life.
