No need to fret. We have become indifferent and unemotional about the sanctity of human life. Lost our passion for loving our neighbor and making a difference in the lives of others.
Very few prayers will go out to the family of Mrs. Gillespe. Even fewer for Mr. Griffin. But there will be plenty of stone throwing...
The sad part of this is that it is far too often that the drunk survives and his victim dies. I would bet this isn't his first offense and I think we need much more stringent DWI laws.
I think his drunken passenger should be charged with complicity in homicide because he failed to prevent the driver from using the car and did not call the police to intercept him before he killed someone.
Isn't Garcia's also liable to a bigtime civil suit? I think they were negligent in failing to monitor the drunk's condition and in allowing him to drive off the premises drunk.
1:15 - Going by probable cause here and making an opinion. Are we not entitled to that? His judgment will come in a terrestrial court which must upset you a lot, you being most holy among us.
2:07, deliberately killing someone is a little beyond "let he who is without sin"....would you suggest a hug and some therapy for the killer? And then handing them their keys and a beer? Would you if it was your loved one that was slaughtered without the chance of saying goodbye?
Alcohol should be illegal. I have never known a single person who drinks that has been able to completely control it. I'm not condoning the use of weed but how many people go out and beat the crap out of their wife and kids or kill people in cars because the are stoned? My point being, why is it illegal and alcohol is so widely accepted? I would much rather meet someone on 380 that has smoked a joint than someone that has drank a 6 pack. It should all be illegal. It does nothing but screw up peoples lives and rip families apart. Just my 2 cents worth.
2:30 - The presumption of innocence applys to the judicial system. He would not be under arrest if someone did not PRESUME he committed an offense. When we are in the face of an armed robber, are we not supposed to PRESUME he is the one who held a gun on us? What about witnesses to any crime? Are they to keep their mouths shut in order to protect a criminal's PRESUMPTION of innocence?
2:57 - The USA passed a constitutional amendment to ban ALL BOOZE. It didn't work. So now we have regulatory laws to try to make people use a microscopic fragment of their brain cells and not go over the limit of anything, including booze, meth, cocaine, heroin or other mind-bending junk ... OR SUFFER SEVER PENALTIES! Someday it might seep in. (Britney Spears may be an exception.)
I'm a year younger than this guy and I went to Bridgeport. I don't recognize the name, BUT I recognize the last name. I think this guy went by a nickname in high school and was always making pig noises.
The 22-year-old pickup driver, William Griffin, was not injured but was arrested on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter...TAKE NOTICE ....THE WORD...SUSPICION!!! For the record he was injured.
It wouldn't be "suspicion" if he didn't have the aroma of beer on him, open containers in his truck or admit to drinking. It is called "suspicion" so the lawyers do not have an angle to get the "drunk" off the hook!
please pray for all who were involved in this, the victim and her family and whether we want to admit it or not this young man has family too, this is a very tragic accident. may GoD be with each and every one in which this terrible accident has effected! GOD BLESS and keep you .
This isn't a time to point fingers! This was a great tragedy for all involved. Thoughtless comments can cause much pain. God forgives and so should you. This young man will answer for his mistake, not you!

William....Colton....same?!?
Kin?
Did you read that article? What does "William...Colton" have to do with anything?
Please remember that both parties will suffer as a result of this incident and be courteous of the family that might read your comments.
GET A ROPE!
Very true 11:03.
Yes, very true but I doubt there's much going on at either house but sadness so overwhelming you can hear the clock ticking and nothing else.
Who gives a frick about sadness at the guy's house? He drank, sped and killed a woman. I hope he rots.

Please let the first person without sin cast the first stone. Bad things happen to good people everyday. Who are ya'll to judge??

Isn't someone able to be presumed innocent or is all of that a bunch of fluff spouted by you self-righteous who stand in judgment?
Is it the government's job to punish those guilty of killing or would they be dictating morality? Who should protect the victim?

Just noticed the WCM says the accused is from Bridgeport.

i drive so slow when stoned i should be required to get high before operating a motor vehicle
OMG! Let's hurry up to the high school and check out the hall panels to see who he really is....
He did go to school in Bridgeport at one time - "finished" at Chico but did not graduate.
Why must we assume he went to school in Bridgeport if he now uses a Bridgeport address? Provincial thinking.
look again he did graduate!!!!
