But nothing on this story? Seems to fit the pattern.

If our system would quit handing out probation to these sick f***s it might deter others from doing it.

Suppose that as a youth minister this guy was interested in ministering to a youth. And to do so in such a way as to make sure the youth felt comfortable that her parents or friends would not "find out" she was talking to someone about a problem or problems she did not want anybody to know she was having. So, "I'll come by and get you when your privacy would be assured, and we'll go somewhere we can talk". Like the park. Then, the cops cruise by and see an older guy and a kid in a car. Kid's problems relate to having been abused, or assaulted, or being promiscuous, and the youth minister is trying to counsel her through it. Scared because the police have found them, that her parents would be called, etc., basically that she is now exposed with her problems (her parents are now going to know something is wrong) she gets confused or thinks poorly as a 15 year old emotional girl is prone to do, and caves under questioning and incriminates the youth minister to try and save her skin and deflect from the real issues she's having. Do not think for a second this kind of situation doesn't happen. It does. False accusations and conclusion-jumping are rampant in this type of situation. Unfortunately, you are guilty until proven innocent because so many times things like this ARE true. Basically, in our society an adult male can no longer give a kid not their own a hug, take them for an ice cream, or show any kind of genuine love and care for fear someone might get the wrong idea. But an adult female can without the same. You think if it would have been a lady in that car that the cops would have thought anything?

12:25- Did you read the full story? He admitted they kissed, and that's about like telling a cop you've only had 2 beers in my book.

12:25 - When you put yourself in this situation you automatically open yourself up for trouble. It was inappropriate - even if he was only "counseling" her - which that doesn't seem to be the story. Kind of reminds me of a Michael Jackson scenario. You just don't do that.....

i hate the fact that our kids arent really safe from predators anywhere,
but as i see these cases all the time from priest and preachers and school teachers, etc.. i have to wounder where the parents of the children r.

it seem to me that the rage of a father would be more of a deterent than anything that the law could do.
