So sad to see her do that. Her school board should not even let that happen. School Boards put the screws to the principals, the principals put the screws to the teachers, and teachers can't always make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Sure...all students can learn. Some learn to be doctors and some learn to make license plates.

Blackards eat funny foods and scare me with their menacing stares and furtive movements.

Can you imagine the pressure that school board was getting because of what she said? All those African American parents down their throats. Geeez....

Now that I know what the Everman principal said, it's even more revolting.

According to her own comments, she said something along the lines of, "We're unacceptable, and we'd
have been OK if only 8 more African-American students had passed."

In other words, we're suffering, and it's all you kids' fault. If 8 of you had worked harder, we wouldn't be unhappy.

What a coward and a copout.

Look at the disparity between Everman and FWISD or DISD schools.

Everman's score was 32.

Compare that to Wyatt's 38, Kimball's 44, South Oak Cliff's 47 or Dunbar's 47.

Something is wrong at the school.

If Decatur or Bridgeport lost football games by 13 points to schools with identical
talent, the coach would lose his job.

To add to 10:51's comments, "...and the media puts the screws to everyone" (that says anything that might not be PC).

The principal spoke the facts. The black students scored poorly. I'm not sure if she was placing blame solely on the black students. I remember a school board member in Bridgeport blamed the teachers for their poor scores.

I just don't think you can blame one entity in this whole scheme of education. You have got to have caring dedicated teachers, administraters, overall school people; but the students have to care and be interested and do their part; and parents have to support and care about their childs education.

Well, let's put this into perspective. The principal didn't create the test. The principal didn't create the report that was generated BY the test. The principal didn't even create the racial breakdown portion of the report. The report and its racial breakdown was state MANDATED. What the principal only DID was VERBALLY state what the report said!! And she gets in trouble for that?? TOTAL INSANITY!!

The TEA reports that very fact for every school, the media reports it, it's discussed all around and schools are ranked based on it. Yet, a principal speaks to the issue and BAM, she's gone because she hurt some feelings and parents (what a bunch of aces I'm sure that group is) get all upset because someone recognized that those parents are pretty damn crappy.

Some things aren't so black and white.

6:54 That's the democratic way to address any problem. That's why it's called the tax and spend party. It's a selling point to campaign on. If you tell someone that you care about them because you allocated more money, they get a warm fuzzy feeling. Ever notice all the expensive trips school board members take?
