Having never known the pre Idol Kelly, I do wonder who and what some of you folks see. She IS a sweet innocent young lady with a fabulous voice with a tad of an attitude that seems a lot more grounded than I was at her age. 7:19 I do hope you were speaking tongue in cheek; if not you need to go see someone about that head issue of yours.
Kelly Clarkson is a bad ass. She's absolutely AWESOME in concert and she has a good sense of humor (at a concert I went to when things got a bit out of control she stated "this is a Kelly Clarkson concert, not the Toadies). It makes her seem more real seeing her let loose a bit. I don't think that Kelly Clarkson tries to be sweet and innocent, if you'd seen some of her music videos you'd know that.

I'd rather see Kelly, Christina, Tara, Paris-and so on-get their "freak on" over any more polls.
