Yep, the USA needs to prove they are not racist of Muslims, and to make atonement for the coward, Seth MacFarland and all others who have used the word 'terrorists' when referring to radical murdering muslims, and for all the times Americans became upset over 9/11 - cuz we should be over that now - we have to prove we can be peace loving toward Muslims in our own nation. I hate the artsy fartsy liberal world.

It would have been more of a story if she had lost...this is the society we live in today. We are in the throws of ultra-Political Correctness. Not saying she didn't deserve to win, but this is a beauty pageant and a political statement was going to be made; are we so much better off as a society now that this wall has been torn down?

Are you sure she's Muslim? I didn't see that in the story. Just said she was of Lebanese descent. And most Lebanese-Americans are Christian ... (as in Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas, etc). Not that I care. I just wouldn't jump to a conclusion that because she is Arab she is Muslim.
