Boring TCU/Texas Tech News

Or is it? Tech has booted TCU off of its 2010 schedule and replaced them with Weber State. Edit: Still a little up in the air, but it looks like a done deal.

ID HAVE TO FILL UP MY GAS TANK To MOTOR BOAT THEM. MIGHT SPEND SOME TIME IN EACH DOCK!

They cant be any of the players girlfriends, they arent chubby enough!

Leach is just scared to loose and that his QB wont get 500 yards passing if they play TCU

A-scared of getting shown up by little brother's tons of athletic talent?

Somebody @ Tech forgot to clear the TCU game with Coach L, who has a history of scheduling nuns, orphans and directional universities as non-conference opponents.

Leach is such a coward. They haven't played a quality OOC opponent in at least five years.

If they still plan to play TCU, just not in 2010, then there's no story.
But if they cancel the game with TCU, it's a story.

Texas has shown that the way to stay highly ranked is to play non-ranked teams at home at every opportunity. Maybe Tech has observed and learned. More will follow.

11:30....YOU MUST BE RELATED TO 11:08........"Texas has shown that the way to stay highly ranked is to play non-ranked teams at home at every opportunity."
I guess that win column is just "for home games"........cchhheeeezzzzzz learn how to read a schedule

With the moronic BCS system, why play anyone tough in non-conference games when you play in a competitive conference? Texas even publishes that fact as a way to beat the BCS. Look who they've played this year and for all indications, will be playing for the national championship game because of it.

Just gotta learn how to play to the rules presented.

It is not just Texas but all top tier teams who have a chance and the #1 spot. Alabama, Florida, OU, and on down the list.

Wow, 11:39, you seem a bit defensive about 11:30's comments. I've just looked up the UT 2009 football schedule and 3 of their 4 non-conference games were in Austin and all 4 opponents were, and still are, unranked. So how exactly is 11:30 off base?

Texas would have played Arkansas and Utah this year if those two hadn't backed out.

And I seem to remember TCU getting destroyed by the Longhorns two years ago.

On December 21 2012 we'll all be booted off with no replacement.

Is this what Coach meant by "fat little girlfriends".

I'm down!

Umm, Didn't Alabama open the season against a non conf top 10 team two years in a row, and won...Texas sux

1:00 pm is correct... Texas tries to schedule the tough opponents for non conference play. Guess what... no one wants to.

As far as conference play goes... they play in the big 12. Sometimes it is a super touch conference. Other years it ain't. You play who you can and then go out and win 'em.

Hook 'em. And tonight, I will even say "go Frogs!"

Would love to see these two teams play... Either site... any time.
