Fox News Lies? Sean Hannity Lies? Say It Isn't So!

Absolutely amazing. Edit: And Hannity called it an "inadvertent mistake." Puhleeeeze.

Fake but accurate.

that's why they call them "estimates."

And by the way, did the Wash. Post go count anyone, or was this their effort to downplay this event?

this is lame.

your attempt to paint fox news as lying is lame..

People love to hate on Jon Stewart. But he and Colbert hit the mark more often than not.

You have to give them both credit. They admit what they do is "fake news" unlike Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck.

Big fat deal broadcast news did worse for forever to promote Democrats agenda.

Yep, there it is, Fox News, just the facts.
Guess how many folks in Wise County get their news from Fox.
ALL of the mis-informed ones!

I was there, global warming caused a rapid change in the weather. It was the craziest thing I ever saw.

I think I saw Wordbile picking his nose in the back ground.

Are you really that stupid? Two different protests? About the same relative subjects? And you bitch about the B-roll?

Wow. Libs are having a really tough time supporting their leadership, if this is the best they can do.

Complaining about B-roll from two related events. Really?

So sad.

Anonymous said...

You call two different clips about protests of related subjects a lie?

Fox news has more credibility than all of the liberal networks combined.

That is why they have more viewers than ALL of the other cable news networks combined, and several times more viewers than Jon Stewart.

Whoever is responsible for the video was stupid. The Washington Post estimated 10,000 attendees at the rally, enough so that exaggeration or lying wasn't necessary. In this particular case, Comedy Central is right.

No worse than the Million Man March when it was actually just a few thousand unemployed black men who received a free trip to DC by Farakon and his thugs.

Unbelievable.

Fox News made a mistake but how many other major news under estimated the turnout for the TEA parties? And what about our elected officials calling those who attended a mob.

Perhaps this event gave the Democrats who voted NO to the massive expansion of health care the courage to stand up for the folks back home.

When conservatives protests, the liberal media can't handle it because that is what the left wing does.

If the public option passes, our country will be bankrupt or our health care will be rationed. Either one is not the change we want.

I have confidence in the American people, they are beginning to catch on to the Wing Nuts.

Anonymous said...

That's the best you can do? Really? Pfffffft. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Man, you liberals kill me sometimes.

Anonymous said...

I don't get it.

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately, too many of you "don't get it." There is no excuse for this kind of falsifying in journalism. Fox "news" does it all the time because they are NOT really "journalists". They are paid to promote a conservative agenda, and shortcut ethics every day.

Complain all you like about "liberal bias" in the traditional networks. If you catch them in falsifying facts like this, they deserve the condemnation. But a mere shade of human bias in coverage is to be expected, be it liberal or conservative. We're all human, after all.

It is lying and falsification that is not acceptable, and it deserves condemnation whenever it happens.

Believe me, I wish Fox News really WAS just the conservative alternative to the other networks. Unfortunately, they've proven time and again that a little "human bias" just isn't enough to satisfy their boss.

I'm with WordKyle--I'm "conservative", but I don't trust the media from either side anymore. Notice that I referred to the media as being from "sides"? Hmmm--so much for journalism nowadays.

More proof, Hannity sucks.

Anonymous said...

Barry, you might consider watching something more credible than an idiot like Jon Stewart. There were over 20,000 at the rally that Hannity was speaking of....but you really don't care do you?

Anonymous said...

I find it hilarious Mr. Green that you post something like this when you yourself watch Hannity, and FOX, etc.

Mmmmmmmm..... Can you spell HYPOCRIT?

Anonymous said...

Ahhhh...you poor poor babies. That's all you got to come down on Fox with. WOW.

Anonymous said...

This is why I read what Wordie has to say even though I'm liberal and he's conservative- he uses facts. I respect that about him.

Fox News was in the wrong in this situation. They were misleading their audience. The sad part is that they didn't have to mislead because 10,000 was a lot for a weekday.

That's as good as you hating Sarah Palin because you can't stand the way she talks. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. BG please come up with something intellectual to argue about. YOU GOT NOTHING

I totally agree with 8:35. There is nothing wrong with a program (or in this case a network) having a conservative viewpoint. But these "mistakes" happen too often to be a coincidence. Media Matters does a great job of documenting these incidents in detail.

To be fair, most Americans seem to have an intense loyalty to their political party that allows them to ignore reality (both dems and repubs). The typical reaction from both sides is exactly what you see in these comments. Either out-right denial that anything is wrong; or insisting that the other side does the exact same thing. This refusal to closely examine the problems in our own parties is the reason this country is in the shape that its in.

BTW, I have no doubt that TCU is a legitimate top 4 team. But if they lose this weekend...well, I don't even want to think about it!

If you want the most accuracy in news reporting and the least bias, watch BBC.

Lest we forget: Hannity, Beck et al are Conservative (or Libertarian) commentators. They make no pretension of being neutral. Of course that does not excuse falsifying information. Let's make sure we separate Fox News News from Fox News commentators. Commentators are obliged to tell us their opinions.

And as long as we're displaying outrage, let's save some for the news divisions of ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. who claim neutrality yet show bias. (ABC News gives Obama an informercial for healthcare legislation. Opinions?)

What's worse, a pseudo-news station lying about attendance at a rally, or the POTUS lying about whether abortions will be covered by Obamacare? You decide.

Anonymous said...

If that is the worst thing Fox has done, they must be pretty good.

media matters? You are joking, right? They are left of Che, Castro, Stalin....

Anonymous said...

Keep watching FOX. I think we now a new viewer in you. Way to go, BG!

Anonymous said...

I have never seen so much whining about something that is so wrong! Good grief...first graders would behave better than this! They would admit they did something wrong, take their punishment, and move on!

You retardicans are so immature!

Anonymous said...

Just an example: FOX hyped the DC Tea part for days and had breathless coverage of the event from multiple 'reporters.' A few days later there was a gay protest gathering at the same DC Mall without any FOX pre-event build-up. About the same number of folks appeared at both rallies but FOX hypes and covers one and ignores the other. Yeah - fair and balanced my foot!

Hey 8:48

It's HYPOCRITE. With an E on the end. That's how you spell HYPOCRIT.

Anonymous said...

It is not hypocritical to get views and ideas with opposing viewpoints.
