Hot Sports Opinions:
- With one loss, you can still get to the National Championship Game, normally.
- What a great team Tech has, but what a beating of a remaining schedule: Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, a team in Waco, and then the Big 12 Championship Game.
- I wonder what the tie breaker is for the Big 12 South if Texas, OU, and Tech each end up with one loss?
- Penn State is ridiculously overrated -- TCU would beat them like a drum. But I don't see how they don't end up unbeaten since they don't have to play anyone of note.
- I bet Florida ends up in the National Championship game.

The Utes are in for a shock Thursday night.
If you go to the Austin newspaper, their blog sight has all the possible scenarios for tie breakers. A lot of soreheads visit there. Wreck em Tech!!!!!!!
Here are your tiebreakers:
Big 12 divisional tiebreakers
The following procedure will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie:
(a) If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative
(b) If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 7 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
1. The records of the three teams will be compared against each other;
2. The records of the three teams will be compared within their division;
3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5 and 6);
4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents;
5. The highest-ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series standings following the completion of Big 12 regular-season conference play shall be the representative;
6. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative;
7. The representative will be chosen by draw.
If Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech only losses were against each other, it would drop the tiebreaker to the fifth one, the team with the highest rankings in the final Bowl Championship Series standings after regular season concludes on Nov. 29.

the only thing that happened saturday with tech beating texas is that it the best conference in the country will not have a chance to play for the national title....tech can not beat ou or osu which would put texas back in big 12 chapionship and they would play in a bcs bowl....
ever wonder why mike leach could not coach for a big time program???????? you got your answer saturday..he takes to many risky chances, that look great when they work and like crap when they don't.. a big time program wants you to when every year not good season every three or four that is why lubbock county has one of the highest suicides per capitia....one national chapionship in school history... 1993 womens basketball, but mike leach is a great fit for ttu and sooner or later some big timy program will take a chance on him and he will fall on his face
my plan all along was to root for tech the first 3 quarters, then hope for texas to make a great comeback and win by 1 point...came within 10 seconds of having my wet dream come true..!
