This question is directed to the DPS and/or the WCSO. Why in the HELL wasn't there any traffic control on that hill that you see in the photo??????? I was westbound and had pulled off into the grass to keep from getting hit from behind by the traffic coming over the hill before the one that's in the photo. After seeing several near misses I decided to run to the top of that hill to slow traffic down, and an 18 wheeler (6,000gal.) GASOLINE tanker had just crested the hill, if I had not nearly jumped out in front of the truck waving my arms for him to slow down there would have many more dead bodies!!! He had to go into the oncoming lane to avoid plowing into several stopped vehicles at 60mph, it was so close that I jumped to the ditch and hit the ground, which probably would not have saved me anyway!!! I wanted so badly to call 911 but I had left my cell phone in my vehicle and I was too scared to run and get it because there was too many near misses happening. I slowed traffic down for close to an hour hoping that at least a county car, a DPS unit or at least a firetruck would show up to slow traffic, but to NO AVAIL!! This was one of the worst situations I have ever seen in my life that could have been handled so simply. So, MR./MS.DPS OR COUNTY MOUNTIE, why was such a minor detail not handled properly?? I would truly like to hear your "excuses" !!!!!

Well comment #2, I think you should call the Tx DPS and sk them why more Troopers were not on the scene. We have 24 Texas State Troopers in Wise County alone! I know that I am guided to respond to major accidents when I am in the area, and or the Tx DPS calls for assistance such as traffic control. I can also tell you that I called on the radio yesterday and was told by a Trooper on the scene that everything was undercontrol and he did not need anything. So, I go back to my first statement, call Texas DPS........
We now have the Obama team planning to send out letters to let all their voters know this "Change" they've so wanted, but can't seem to explain, will take a while and won't happen as fast as they think. True Irony!! The sad part is, the folks voting for this idiot will have less in four years than they do now. What a pile!!

I think it is because DPS/SO think they are to good to do traffic controll. It is however, the second most important step on an accident scene, behind patient care.

Ok, for one, if you were really worried about traffic, CALL IT IN TO THE SO DISPATCH!! THEY CAN ONLY DISPATCH OUT WHAT THEY GET TOLD ABOUT, THEY DON'T HAVE CRYSTAL BALLS, two, the one officer that is on scene is taking care of his sheit, i'd love to sit back and watch any of ya'll work an accident. three, there doesn't appear to be ANY volunteer Fire personnel on scene to conduct traffic control, just wise co. EMS and wise co. Rescue one, looks like you would have more Wise county citizens getting involved with the volunteer fire departments rather than on here biatching and moaning about it. and four, yes, bush put our country on the line for what? for OIL, not terrorism, OIL.
