I went past it northbound on 287 around 12:20pm. There was what was left of a dark colored pick up on a wrecker - the bed was smashed up into the cab. This week I've seen lots of big red trucks with big red trailers loaded with big red oilfield equipment parked on the shoulder, perhaps 10 or more at a time and thought it looked like a dangerous place for that many trucks to park. It looked like that may have contributed to whatever happened.
Yeah, 1:26PM - we saw that same thing last Friday as we were going to Fort Worth - it was by that Shamrock or whatever station south of Decatur.......pretty darned creepy. Oh, and just a little after that, a rock truck swerved into my lane as I was driving MY FREAKING BRAND NEW CAR back from the dealership......that's what I get for purchasing a smaller, better gas mileage 2009 Toyota Corolla....almost killed or wrecked on my way home. Luckily I was able to avoid a catastrophe.....and simultaneously reminded myself I wasn't in my big red truck.....guess the jerk just didn't see me.
