MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT FOR THIS FAMILY.

House of R & R said...

Horrific! Oh.... let's clearly print the names of the deceased but not the driver who killed them. It should be plastered everywhere!

My prayers are with these children. An awful holiday season is in store for them, as they just lost both their parents because of some jerk deciding that he can drink and drive. Please pray for these kids and their extended family.

Yes Yes. So why DON'T we legalize drugs so there will be MORE of these types of accidents! ???
Of course, that would benefit defense lawyers with more clients, now wouldn't it?
Nevermind about the innocent victims, lost lives and orphaned children. Let's FILL our roads with more "under the influence" drivers!! LEGALIZE MORE DRUGS! LEGALIZE 'EM ALL!!

My daughter is friends with the eight-year-old.

As usual: house of r & r, shut up.

Of course the most abused drug is alcohol. Let's ban alcohol, then everything will be fine. It is horrible what has happened, but idiots driking and DRIVING is the problem.

Anonymous said...

Let's not ban alcohol but make a first DWI offense a felony where you do the jail time. No plea agreement or a slap on the wrist. Alcohol is not the evil it is the idiots who consume and drive. Notice they never get injured or worse.

9:01 & 9:15,
You need to get together and hold hands and sing Cumbiya so you'll feel better about yourself and make things all better for everyone.

11:11 It's always that way. Crazy I know. I wonder if that 22 yr. old thinks it was worth it..drinking and driving? His life, as well as, the other family's lives are changed forever.
Very sad.

Legal or not if you want drugs or alcohol you can find them any where you want. At least if there legal the goverment has some controll and we get the tax money from the sales. If you want to get all these baggy pants dope dealers off the streets make drugs legal.H ow many moonshine still do you hear of? BUT THE POINT HERE IS THE FAMILY THAT HAS HAD A LOSS. LEGAL OR NOT THE PERSON RESPONCABLE FOR THIS WOULD HAVE STILL BEEN DRUNK OR HIGH.

The drunken young killer is identified as COLTON FRAZIER MCGUFFIN, age 22. He is only innocent until PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW. Prior to that, he is a drunken young killer. Get a rope!

Wal-Mart in Decatur, TX is number #2 in the nation for off premise consumption of Alocholic beverages only second to a place in California according to the TABC.

11:27 - Ok...we make all street drugs legal and they produce tax revenue. Well, genius, that means they have to be licensed and what happens if they don't get a license or pay the taxes? Do they get busted or go back to street dealing?

Where will their supply come from, federal/state-owned drug factories? Do we really want to get into the business of our government buying supplies from the drug cartels around the planet? What happens if the dealers don't buy from authorized manufacturers? Would that be a crime?

Do you really want little kids able to buy and use your "legalized" drugs? Oh...maybe you would make that illegal. Face it, genius, you wouldn't be LEGALIZING anything!

Thought, yes. Help, yes. Sympathy and heartbreak for those kids, yes. But please, stop with the prayers. By definition, prayer means you truly believe God may intervene directly in a situation at your request. Well, God had a chance to do so and obviously preferred the result at hand.

Please pray for the family of the young person who killed this mom/dad. I understand he needs to be punished, but they are going through HELL also.

You know I set here and read the story and all comments and the unthinkable DOES happen.

I kinda feel sorry for the 22 year old who just ruined the rest of his LIFE. I think everyone thinks their invincable and it wont happen to them but it just did and does and I dont think there is enough being done to stop drunks from driving. I think police could do more and should do more!!

But before you bash me I DO NOT THINK HE IS INNOCENT. He ruined these kids lives for EVER and should be punished to the MAX BUT he made a huge mistake that I think alot of people have made a time or two in their lives. I just wish there was a way to stop them before they do it again.

Everyone involved in this accident is suffering right or wrong!!

And I guess the if the Bond is deemed unfair then this guy who has killed these innocent people and robbed the children of having parents to love them will get a 50K
bond. How does a Judge sleep at night ?

12:37pm do you see anyone selling alcohol on the street corners? no because you can go to the store and show your i.d. and buy your beer or whatever. the goverment does not make alcohol. But they have control over the alcohol content.

I never said anything about making STEERT DRUGS legal and would never want any drugs or alcohol in the hands of children.

and we do buy drugs from other countries but the food and DRUG admen. has controll over it

The only point I'm trying to make is when alcohol was legalized the gangsters that were making a living and killing people over the control of alcohol sales no longer had a job untill they started selling drugs.

The problem isn't those who drink and drive its those who can't drink and drive very well.

One thing for sure though, our DWI laws will become so severe that it just won't make sense for anyone to take a chance and drive home after happy hour (it's about that way now). Best bet is to just get a cab, stay at a hotel or just stay home.

Can you mf'ers ever NOT turn something like this into a useless debate? I felt sick when I heard on the news this morning that some folks from Chico were killed in a wreck. I don't think I knew these people, but it hurts my heart none the less because when it comes down to it, I think of all wise county folks as my extended family. Please hold a good thought for these poor kids and all the family and friends this will touch. You idiots.

your right annie. i'm sorry

Annie, what kind of worse incident would be better to spark a debate about drivers under the influence? Yes, people have been killed, families torn apart and it is SICKENING!! THAT is exactly WHEN those who feel strongly about tougher laws for DWI's and not legalizing MORE mind altering substances NEED to say... "SEE! THIS IS WHY!" Can you not see that? WHY let these people's lives be for naught? LET them be the spark for change in this crazy "justice" system so that MORE innocent people are not wiped off the face of the earth by lunitics who just MUST drink/drive or do drugs/drive! I understand how you feel, but I believe this debate HONORS them by using them as examples of decent loving honest people going about their daily lives who are MORE victims to the unjustice we all have to deal with. IT'S PAST TIME TO GET REALLY TOUGH ON DRIVERS UNDER THE INFLUENCE!!!

WHO'S TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT JACKIE MURPHREE, IT WAS A VERY UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT BUT IF SHE WAS NOT A MEMBER OF A WELL KNOWN DECATUR FAMILY WE WOULD OF ONLY READ ABOUT THE ACCIDENT. THIS CHICO FAMILY WILL PROBABLY NOT HAVE ANY BENIFITS OF FUND RAISERS AND WE WILL PROBABLY NOT HEAR ANY THING ELSE ABOUT THE ACCIDENT AFTER THIS WEEK. THIS IS SAD ITS NOT HOW YOU LED YOUR LIFE ITS ALL ABOUT WHO YOU ARE IN WISE COUNTY

Do you honestly have any idea what you are talking about. Its obvious that you don't. Until you see a 21 year old girl that you love fighting for her life and laying in a bed for 13 weeks then you have absolutely nothing to say. Why are you saying this about a good thing that this community has done for a family in need? It is evident that you have some severe hatred bottled up inside that this is the only way you can relieve it. Posting anonymously on a blog. That's really mature. Until you can actually "man up" and post your name with it then you are a coward.
