Dateline: Abilene. Let's see, if a guy is riding in the back seat of a vehicle and accidentally fires a hunting rifle through the front seat killing the driver and causing a head on collision that injures five people, do you think an autopsy might be in order?
Not according to an Abilene Justice of the Peace who said there "wasn't enough evidence" to warrant one.

In this case there were no questionable circumstances about the manner of death so no Autopsy was needed.
Autopsy's are not SOP but are typically only ordered for unknown or questionable deaths such as,suicides,murders,unattended deaths etc.
I'm surprised this type of thing doesn't happen more often as many drunk rednecks as there are driving around with "hunting" guns in their vehicles.

Isn't a Justice of the Peace pretty much a judge? The law is their business. I should hope they know it all.
