It's Your Money

The Texas Governor's mansion is being remodeled so the Rick Perry has to live somewhere. And these are pics of that humble home. Rent: $9,900 per month.

Edit: And what's up with the fence so close to the pool?

With all of the sister kissing and cousin marrying that goes on in Texas there is NO reason Rick Perry should not move in to a triple-wide like the Governor of Arkansas did in 2000.

Oh wait, Governor Goodhair would not be able to piss off enough tax dollars to make himself feel like a bigshot if he did anything BUT blow $10,000 a month on a RENT HOUSE.

Geeeezzzzzeeeee!

Does the rent include the grounds keeper, the pool boy, the chef and the maids?
Where can I can one of those?

Okay people, here is yet another civics lesson. Do you know why we assign our highest political leaders the palatial accomodations? The key word is palatial. We have not yet gotten around that aspect of the monarchy from whence our forefathers fled. The King and Queen occupy the palace and have all of their needs met by hired help. We haven't gotten over the stereotype that our leaders need the best places to live. There is really no reason they can't live like the rest of us. It is a colossal drain on the financial resources, especially when there are more pressing needs and used for those funds. How much would university costs go down if that money were funnelled back into the public university coffers?

3:09, yours is waiting for you. All you have to do is go be elected governor of Texas. Unlike Arkansas, Texas is a major state on the national and even international scene. Unlike Arkansas, visiting dignitaries, corporations thinking about moving thousands of jobs to Texas, and other happenings demand that the Governor of Texas has solid digs.

Fence is a temporary child proof fence.

When a reporter noted that then Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas moved his family into a donated triplewide mobile home for 16 months in 2000, Perry said, "Yeah, Texas ain't Arkansas."

The fence is to stop all that Tax-Payer money that seems to be swirling around from getting in the pool and stopping up the filtration system.

Just another republican fiscal conserverative.

I like that our state has a governor's "mansion". If you get elected then you can live there too.

I wouldn't want to live in a smaller house, so I guess I will not run for Governor. My illegals live in a better place than that 9900 dollar per month ghetto rental dump.
