This has nothing to do with Wise County, but this state senator from the San Antonio area (Republican Jeff Wentworth) has spent $20,308 of campaign funds to lease a Lexus. Why? Because it's "safe" in all that crazy Austin traffic.
Hey, what does Rep. Phil King drive?

Great. Another politician giving fodder to the bad rap of "politics."
Does anyone really care what Phil King drives or if he uses campaign contributions to pay for anything? If they did, they would be trying to get him out of office and vote in someone who could not be bought off.
Who cares what Phil King drives as long as he doesn't drive it into Wise County.
Enough pollution already!
I don't know what he drives but he sure uses ridiculous amount of gas
i dont know why this suprises anyone.
have you ever seen government do anything that didnt cost more, produce less, and have more mistakes than the private sector. and we want to let them have healthcare.
face the only thing government has ever done well is military.
I know what he drives ....
The good Citizens of Texas into the ground. And there is something else he is "driving" into us but I cant say those things on this Blog.
I gotta go poopy
I saw him Shake'n and Bake'n down 287 in short bus.
It's private money, not tax dollars, given specifically for these kinds of things. A good vehicle to get around in and cover a territory is not a crime. Not to mention a vehicle that is quiet and smooth enough to work in and make calls in. Ever tried to have a phone conversation while riding along in a Ford Poptart? If he leased a pickup that cost more, would that be OK? Presidential candidates use jets, paid for in the same way. And so forth. If you think it's not right for a candidate to lease a good vehicle, then don't give them money to do so.
