Losing Life Force....Can't Breathe...(Gasp, Cough, Wheeze)

I just walked past the new Sweetie Pie's Ribeyes on the square. I am sad to announce that the restaurant has installed outdoor speakers and from those speakers came . . . . . . . . Elvira by the Oak Ridge Boys

Any reviews on this new steak house? I ate lunch there and the waitresses out numbered the customers 2-1. The Chicken Fried Steak was good but the salad dressing (blue cheese) was cheap.

Using outdoor speakers as a means to draw customers cannot be a good sign. Playing Elvira is a VERY bad thing!

when we were there last friday there were not enough waitresses, so i guess that depends where you are there. we both had the ribeye and it was by far the best we have had in decatur. its not quite a saltgrass, but we will be there again, and again.

Of course you had the rib-eye if you ate there in the evening because that is your only choice. I love steak but don't care for the rib-eye because of all the fat. Give me a big fat T-bone anyway. If they want my business they need to expand the dinner menu.

They don't ask how you want it cooked and mine came to the table still mooing. Seriously, the ribeye was fatty and I prefer strip or filet. It's not a TRUE steak house until they offer more than one cut of meat, in my book.

The baked potato came with some flavored margarine only...not other fixings. The salad was just green stuff and the only thing that really stood out was the rolls/biscuits. They were pretty awesome. All in all I was disappointed by the whole experience.

Go at lunch....burgers are good.

Cant say much for the salad though....iceburg lettuce with a sliced tomato on the side. Ive seen better at McDonalds.

If you haven't tried a ribeye there, well then you should! Mine had very little fat AND you could cut it with a butter knife! I'd rather get a good ribeye there than pay an outrages price at Cowcamp or even Salt Grass!

Well it sure is nice to hear all of this stuff coming from people who obviously have nothing better to do than knock a new resturaunt. Maybe it was having an off night, you know, it did just open about 2 weeks ago. There will be a little while where "kinks" will need to be adjusted and worked out. Maybe you should give it another try. If the bleu cheese dressing tastes cheap to you, then maybe you should try the house, hot bacon vinagerette. If you don't like the ribeye being the only choice, then maybe you should go at lunch when they have a bigger selection. It seems to me that the people of Decatur just aren't very open to change. Well look around, get used to it, it's happening everywhere. And whoever said fat chicks with camel toes, if you were referring to the waitresses, you obviously havent eaten there. The waitresses that i have seen are not too shabby. Some of the prettiest around here.
