Actually those rigs are very stable. Basic weight positioning is just fine. Used only on shallow edges in order to cast in toward the bank. Doubtful anyone has every been killed in Alabama on one of these things, as opposed to the weekly weekend death toll on North Texas reservoirs attributed to accidents involving more "sophisticated" sorts of people.
