So odd. Ex-Van Halen leader David Lee Roth is part of a new album called "Strumming With The Devil" which is composed of most of the group's greatest hits put to blue grass music. Apparently, there are some big time blue grass musicians behind it.
He performed "Jump" on the Tonight Show two nights ago - blue grass style. (YouTube clip here).
I can't believe I'm saying this: Not bad.

I am totally and truly speechless...
I didn't even listen all the way through....When he sang for Van Halen it was a different time; now he sucks - nothing but a has been.
Is David Lee Roth gay? His new style sucks.
OMG!!!!!! Yes, definately gay.
Wow, interesting on so many levels.
1. As a lover of bluegrass music, I'm fascinated by this song. Yeah, it is strange, but actually pretty good. And he had some SERIOUS "pickers" on the stage with him.
2. However, it saddens me to have the rebel music of my youth, um, EXPLOITED and turned into what is basically a Las Vegas lounge act.
3. David Lee, I'm afraid, is almost a caricature of himself. He almost looks like, dare I say, STEVE MARTIN! With a goofy grin, he just seems to have gone from Diamond Dave to Old Man Dave...
*Sigh...
Diamond Dave is hanging on what's left of his career by a thread.
As far as the song goes, great stuff. I remember hearing Hayseed Dixie doing a bluegrass album of ACDC tunes and loving it. Never thought I'd hear "Shook Me All Night Long" with a banjo and a dobro.
Uh, totally laughable...good musicians or not, I love that song, but it just doesn't work "bluegrass style" (in my humble opinion, of course!)
OMFG! He sucks! He even looks like he might suck a dick! And he really sucks at hanging onto his has-been career. That's pathetic. He seriously needs to crawl back under that rock he's been under all this time. Barry, I'm sorry, but you must have a very high fever 'cause this is the most horrible attempt to do God knows what to a not-so-good era song to begin with.
I turned it off also. OMG! I can't believe you actually said its not bad. HORRIBLE
