Most will find this mildly interesting. But as Big Ben is in intensive care, it was interesting to see what the NFL Network was discussing less than 12 hours after the accident. (Next week....acceptable. Today...uh, no.)
I don't think it's insensitive. It's the NFL Network, so they will talk about anythong they can to fill air time. I can guarantee you that, after his health, the main question they all have is "Now what do we do?!"
Why is this insensitive? It is a game. They have to think about who will replace his position or else they have no team. He obviously did something stupid and knocked himself out of the game.
